Yeah I mean it was really the hand injuries that cause his slump above everything. I know from the start the prediction (understandably) was that he wouldn't last as an NHLer. But honestly he's proving us wrong. If he never had those freak injuries I wonder what his production could've been like the past few years.

This was a lot of fun win or lose. Our young guys are not afraid of playing against anyone, they showed so much heart tonight. Think back to the 5 on 3, the blocked shots, the hits thrown by everyone, the forecheck, Sam played good as well.

Our physicality was a thing of beauty. I want to see that every game.

At this point in both their careers age wise, Guhle is definitely the superior player. Cold take, Guhle now is better defensively than on has ever been. But early PK was hype

His health is much better than last season and his experience is very telling. He knows how to cut down the ice. One thing he has improved on dramatically this season is his ablity to put the puck in an area where he can chase it down himself. Shades of 30 goal Gally.

Actually his lack of straightaway speed is something that makes it appealing. Imagine a bunch of cowboys who shoot with crazy speed all over the place but there's this one older dude with a cigar and snarky demeanor who's smarter than all of them. And he never miss.
