I see a lot of teams are interested in acquiring Vaculic thinking they will be getting him for peanuts or waivers.

Since we are now short an import, one has to wonder if it makes sense he is not added later or does George have something else up his sleeve.

There seems to be a couple teams with promising imports that may be available based on their lack of ice time.

Besides being a righty, I don't see a point. Wait and draft the import you want/need next summer.

I love these trades. Great return for Allen and bringing in Bottineau ('06 Righty). The latter will help to fill in the gaps during WJC/Trades/Injuries. He's likely an OA candidate as well, a 5th for 2.5 seasons, no harm no foul no matter how it works out. Stockpiling those picks for the future run, more to come for Luch.

Hoping Luchanko does not go to London for a few reasons even though adding Hawery would have been ideal.

Looks like Knights only have 1 second left which would mean lower picks and more players to complete the deal.
Do not want to see him 8 - 12 times next year in a Knights uniform should Phily decide to return him.
Brantford, Brampton, Barrie, Kingston and even Niagara and Oshawa have more attractive picks and players to move and are in the East.
Prefer not to add more 07's unless Hopkins, Czata, Nesbitt or Griffin.

Do you think a Luchanko trade is inevitable?

What’s your D look like? Where does Jenken slot in?

Not familiar enough with Jenken but we have
4 other 07 D's playing regularly and 3 of them on central scouting's watch list. I see Jenken was not listed but more playing time should help his development considerably, especially with his size. He will have ample opportunity as we have been short 2 regulars all year and currently Budnick and Haley will be out for a few more weeks.

But that would be fun! ;) Kind of hoping he does come to London. If we have to give up Hawery then so be it.

Do we think Jett is our last move or do we think there will be more. Numerous teams in the East looking to upgrade.

If there are other moves to add more picks I maybe would consider rolling the dice and keep Jett if the offers were not acceptable.

Jett will 100% be traded, as he should be, can't gamble on the potential that he will return. There will be multiple bidders. Re: the Knights, if it is indeed a two part deal, I'd expect two players back plus picks to make it appear more even. I say "appear" because all deals have to be approved by the league. It's possible a pick or two that went to us for Allen were part of consideration for Jett.

London may be short on 2nds now, but they have plenty of 3rds as well as players. Noah Read looked great against Guelph, he's got 12 points in 18 games on the Knights with limited minutes. He's an '07 I'd take in a heartbeat with Hawery, a 2nd, and a few 3rds.

A reunion of Hawery and McLean would be awesome for the future of the Storm, they were linemates in Barrie and dominated.

Bottom pair for now, but who knows with injuries. Hopefully he sees the opportunity and works hard to move up the lineup.

I would prefer 06 Van Gorp rather than 07 Read but they are the only two I would want to add with Hawery and less 2nds.

Does Guelph entertain doing a pckage of Luchanko and Paquette? What can you say about Paquette? Is he physical? What’s his strength?

LOL, I don't think London needs Paquette... they don't even need Luchanko to be honest, but he'll win faceoffs and be a good two way forward addition.

100% have to trade Jett. If they’re tearing down the team with Allen and alriksson they absolutely have to trade Luchanko. He’s very very good and may not be back next year as a 19 year old.

You guys already lost Poitras for nothing you’d have to assume the GM doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice.

Yeah not even saying just for London. I’m asking in general for a contender would they want Paquette. Is he a heavy hitter? Good 3rd line guy?

LOL, @LDN is hilarious isn’t he? Haha! He plays way to much NHL 25 and doesn’t know that not how rosters are constructed in real life.

Fair, but all I’m trying to ask is what type of player is Paquette and would he make a good OA candidate?

Not a bad player but in my opinion if he gets moved it won’t be for a ton. Little bit of a smaller trade.

Probably brings more value to Guelph though than the storm would get elsewhere so I don’t see him getting traded

This is spot on. He has more value on the team than what he would return in a trade.

Oh, I know this, but still appreciate the posts/energy brings to the boards.

LDN, Paquette has been on a tear lately with Katzin which is cool to see... he'll be a good mentor/leader when our team consists entirely of 17 and 18 year olds after the deadline. LOL.
