It's back to Clouston/Hartsburg style hockey.

Seeing as how "Clouston-style hockey" is almost system-less, and "Hartsburg-style hockey" is incompetently managed, I shiver at this thought.

I'd say we're going to get some Ted Nolan-style hockey, minus the crazyness.

@ian_mendes: Here are forward lines: Condra-Turris-Silfverberg. Zibanejad-Da Costa-Alfredsson. Daugavins-Smith-Neil. Dziurzynski-Grant-O'Brien

@ian_mendes: Colin Greening is skating as the extra forward today -- and could be a healthy scratch tomorrow at Toronto.

Mendes also said Methot was skating with Gryba

Do you guys remember way back in the day, when we swore that only one of Silfverberg or Zibanejad would get the lion's share of the playing time in Ottawa this year, and that DaCosta was super-buried on the depth chart and unlikely to play more than a couple games in the NHL?

Those were good times, man. Good times.

Please, I had Da Costa on the second line and Condra on the first line in my projections. :sarcasm:

I'm so, so sorry, Binghamton fans. So sorry. You guys didn't deserve this.
Chin up.

I to have to apologize to the B-sens fans, seriously guys hate that both us are icing not so good lineups. Hopefully we get some luck.

Originally I wasn't happy when I realized I had to go out during the first Toronto vs. Ottawa game. Now with these recently released lines and the knowledge that I will be at a bar, which should have the game on, I think I am going to be happy to have a drink.

Let's see if PM can rally these guys around the notion of "This team is not just Karlsson/Spezza". They proved everyone wrong last year and now they'll have to do it with a line-up of AHL players.

These injuries had to happen before the first Toronto game though right? Pfft.

I don't think that our 'brand' of hockey should change much. It's just as important for the players in our farm and down the prospect systems to learn to play the type of hockey that Paulrus wants out of this team.

They might not be as good at it, but I imagine they're still going to try.

I can recall an adjustment period at the beginning of last season.

It was entertaining in a Keystone Cops kind of way.

Awesome news. DD, Grant and Gryba were all very deserving of a call up. They are also three very underrated prospects and cold potentially surprise a few people. I wonder if we can get a few short handed goals out of them, DD and Grant have been great on the PK all year.

Sucks for Bingo though. As long as they can find away to hold on to a playoff spot, they will be getting a lot of reinforcements for the playoffs.

As much as I'm curious to see how the kids look in the NHL, I think our current injury & depth situation is the complete opposite of "Awesome news"...

Don't you find it so hard to focus on the game?

I used to go to parties and bars to watch sens games(especially playoff games) But then you get tipsy, and start focusing on flirting with girls that next thing you know, it's the third period and i missed 3 goals. Now i make sure to watch the game in my room alone and don't go out until the games done.

I agree. I've just been waiting to see what DD, Gryba and to a lesser extent Grant can do at the NHL level, so I am excited to see them get called up. Also there was a chance that the sens could have taken some other players from Bingo and they decided to take them.

The injury situation does suck though for both Ottawa and Binghamton. Both teams are pretty decimated and will have to rely on hard work to win them games.

On the bright side though, this might accelerate the development of some of the prospects. All the prospects who are currently on the team may be able to take full time spots next season. This gives them a chance to play in a more major role.

Well I guess we all know what situation Anderson thrives in...when he gets tons of shots on him.

Im not saying we make the playoffs, but that Colorado roster wasnt much better than ours currently.

I would prefer to watch it at home, but going out for a birthday thing. Wouldn't go over well if I decided to bail to watch hockey haha. Another guy going is a Leafs fan so that could provide some entertainment if the Bingo squad brings down the mighty blue and white.
