i don't feel bad for Bear. The Canucks offered him a path back and he went mercenary.
I don't wanna see him here. It's shit optics for him to come here and underwhelm, then suffer an obviously unfair fate at the hands of the cruel, heartless Canucks management.i don't feel bad for Bear. The Canucks offered him a path back and he went mercenary.
Wingers take a long time to develop. We won't know what kind of player he really is for a few more years.
crazy he doesn't have a NHL contract. the guy famously drafted right before Quinn Hughes.
Been saying about Tyler Myers. Any day now.Wingers take a long time to develop. We won't know what kind of player he really is for a few more years.
Maybe my wording is off, low impact perhaps is better. Which is often a good result for a 4th liner. He did hit a tonne, and played fast but his hits didn't do a heck of a lot either. He wasn't an overly hard hitter like a Raffi Torres, Kostin, Sherwood, Clutterbuck, etc. He did chip in some timely goals for sure. He's also going into year 11 compared to Aman's 2nd.
Don't get me wrong I loved me some Motte. Point is he wasn't and isn't some incredible top notch 4th liner. Aman is also a very good PKer. Not saying Motte was bad but at the end of the day he was overall somewhat effective, much like Aman. Nils doesn't hit much but his choice of coverage angles and speed accomplishes much of the same. The puck staying out of our net.
Motte had also just turned 22 at the start of his Canucks tenure and in his 2nd pro season. Also the Motte at the start of his canucks tenure was more at the level of Matthew Highmore but by then end of it was a 3rd line level player (who couldn't stay healthy).

Hard to blame him. Caps gave him 4M and we offered him like 1.2?Yeah he did a whole bait and switch, doubt the Canucks are interested.
I think long term he'd be even better positioned with Van.Hard to blame him. Caps gave him 4M and we offered him like 1.2?
Hard to tell. He could bet on himself and then lose and then end up taking like a min wage role the season after.I think long term he'd be even better positioned with Van.
Unsigned Avalanche draft pick we picked up for nothing.I have a serious question
Where did Nils Aman come from?
Like tbh, I know he joined the team around 2023 but I basically checked out during the 22-23 season.
Came back at the beginning of 23-24 and all of a sudden there’s this Swedish 4th liner who came out of nowhere
He wasn’t bad but was so unnoticeable most of the nights that I often forgot he’s on the team
