Hronek's shoulder is in his lower body, confirmed.
and a new air filterHe went in for a check up and came out with snow tires and a DIY kit to fix the flat tire
Exactly this.Presumably the lower body injury was something he could have played through, but knowing he was going to be out a while for his shoulder anyways they opted to have the procedure done.

Can Adam Foote still play.Good thing we have Forbort, VD, Soucy, Myers, and Juulsen to pick up the slack.
I think the most likely scenario is that Miller could feel himself starting to go down the same path he did at the start of the 2022-23 season where his bad habits and attitude were visibly sinking the team. He probably got to this point after some terrible losses, being extra irritable while dealing with an injury and some other factors behind the scenes, whether personal or team related. Tocchet benching him was the final straw and either Miller or the organization suggested a break to reset.
If this is the case, the team has had success with him and they'll be back to working together to win.
Saying no to the 2nd one just because I never want to watch Mikheyev play in a Canucks sweater again. Plus my 2nd Cousin's butcher's brother's gardener's girlfriend's optometrist's dogwalker says that Bedard is going to sign here a free agent.
I've been this guy in a team environment before. You don't even realize how toxic you're being until you get some clarity and take a step back to see things objectively. It tends to happen when winning above all else is prioritized and people are competing with each other for promotions/coveted positions.
More like a high school volleyball team.Probably a highly similar situation to an NHL team.
So Hronek gone until at least the end of January. What do they do now? Is the current blueline good enough for them to at least hang around in the playoff race?

Listen, I love Miller But if the Hawks seriously considered moving Bedard for Miller, I would drive all the way to Chicago to drop
Miller for Bédard in what universe. miller 1st x 2 and a top prospect might do itYou'd be taking a step back this season to take what is likely a giant leap forward in the next 3-5 and beyond. Eventually, the kid is going to put it together.
If you believe that Hoglander, Desharnais/Forbort, plus Friedman's cap hit and roster spot is a useful barometer, the Canucks have about 3.3-3.8m in space to add someone. That doesn't include the actual cap space that they have which can be as high, realistically, as 1.3m (Miller & Demko back, Silovs to the AHL).
Sat Shah on Canucks Central said that the prices are unreasonable right now.
Nobody is going to do us any favors, but if we get Demko and Miller back, the loss of Hronek is manageable.
Was going to respond but this is too tedious. Tapping outNo. It's $2.39M. Which is what I said. You've pulled $2.52 out of nowhere for some reason.
Some team may still turn around and offer something decent for him. But what I'm arguing, and what you've conceded, is that the contract extension is a negative weighing his value down.
Also, the rumours of the teams calling on him are from three GMs, reportedly. Two of which I rate pretty poorly as GMs.
Vector's argument once again is the most persuasive: Some GMs are just irrational. Whatever you and VanillaCoke are trying to argue has way less evidence behind it.
Just having Demko back means we should be getting elite goaltending every game between him and Lankinen, that makes a huge difference. And they can keep each other fresh so we don't have to worry about them wearing down.Nobody is going to do us any favors, but if we get Demko and Miller back, the loss of Hronek is manageable.
