I've heard the coaching staff speak many times about how great of a guy he was in the locker room and that he is very well liked. I don't know why you are starting this.
The glass half empty take is that since November 7 the Canucks are 28th in score adjusted CF% and 27th in xGF%. Their record over the past 30+ games probably hasn’t been unfair to them.On the bright side, the team is running a league worst PDO since the holiday break. They haven’t been good, basically a bubble playoff team, but they also probably haven’t been as bad as it feels like they’ve been.
6 picks this year, 5 picks in a stronger looking draft next season. A prospect pool that's closer to the bottom than the top. They are probably lucky to have Willander/Lekkerimaki coming. Not a full tear down, just a few smart moves.Should be holding the fort, selling some UFAs, and looking to fix things in the summer. Only other consideration, though, is maybe you throw Hughes a bone and try to add some type of defensive depth that isn't too expensive (if that exists, though there have been a few depth defensemen traded so far for reasonable prices).
He provided some attributes the team could use from time to time. That $$ was high. Myers and VD the same amount.Only speculation but I also feel like Zadorov was a key to their success as well.
You are right about Bert being a big grump, and we have all heard there were issues. However, I was responding to allegations that Zadorov was disliked by teammates and if he wasn't in Van, it must be because they didn't get to know him well enough yet. This kinda thing is worse than what Canucks media does that we hate so much. You just never know in these instances.
It's like Bertuzzi pre-Moore who was adored by the fans and the coaching staff. The coaching staff and media painted him as emotional leader, who in actuality was a hotheaded moron that would take comically bad penalties and ultimately saw the emotions get the best of him. It was later determined he was responsible for the destabilizing the dressing room in 2005-06....
Not saying Miller = Bertuzzi but we will not know the full extent of what the hell is going on until he's traded.
My mistake. I thought it was another JT Miller post. You are right about Bert being a big grump, and we have all heard there were issues. What if we never get there? No.

I would trade Miller asap if he keeps performing like last night, team needs to know that kind of effort has consequences.
Used car salesman or jeweler vibes.Todd diamond seems like a cuck
I think what they imply is that Zadorov was disliked by the opposing teams, taking the spotlight from the Canuck players and letting them just play their game. I also took the spotlight when it came to media, another welcome thing. You think Zadorov was disliked? Or am I missing something.
Trading Partners
- Too many teams in the playoff race
- A lot of their players are struggling, don’t want to give up Willander or Lekkerimaki, and can’t trade their 1st with where they are in the standings
and then throw another 2nd rounder and more assets to get like a guy like Gubranson and extend him..Wait till this management trades Miller and Canucks get a late round first, Bonino and Sbisa types for him. Lol.
they are the ideal target team to work with. This is a REALLY good team to do a deal with. They have tons of great assets young and NHL roster age right now.
Obviously would lose my **** getting a Simon Nemec type, but we would be eating Palat's contract in that situation.
Wonder if a 1:1 Hamilton for Miller, with retention on Hamilton to make it an 8MM for 8MM swap would make some sense here. Open up their blueline for their many, many young D, get an...emotional veteran player rocket fuel for their forward group.
I think Miller is almost certainly dealing with some sort of physical issue that is limiting his effectiveness. His frustration about not being able to do what he normally does may be bleeding into the rest of his play but I have a hard time believing the issue is just behind the scenes issues. You can tell even when he’s trying to make things happen he can’t dominate the way he used to.It really just boggles the mind how Miller can go from his herculean performance last season to this.
The team has been linked to Dawson Mercer in the past too, but I’m not sure how you even that out. This is a REALLY good team to do a deal with. They have tons of great assets young and NHL roster age right now.
