Interesting take. The Canucks believe his last two games were his strongest. I definitley agree. He was more assertive and I can't recall a single poor outlet pass. His skating was also tremendous in the bronze medal game

i thought his game against Finland was pretty much flawless.
Missed first half of the bronze. Wasnt as good from what i saw but he had 5 SOG. I was thinking he might have been a bit rattled after that brutal call cost them the game

The second goal on the pk he lost his man and it was a tap in. Third not his fault but did not like the aggressiveness with very little time left in the period. Also, you can’t just let a guy get behind you at the blue line awareness needs to be in that situation. Was not good in OT too.

Yeah he's got size, some toughness, and will back an opponent but it doesn't change that he's poor at defending and lazy to defend on top of that. I don't see 5 or 6 years of that being worth whatever he would have added to this D-core this year. I would far rather wait and use that money on a good top 4 player that fits the team moving forward. Zadorov is impatience. Personally I doubt we're much better with him in the line-up.

The PP goal was Lindstein's guy. You dont skate to the guy being marked by another. Lindstein got caught watching and let him slip to the back side. If your gonna do that there has to be some form of communication and there wasn't. Also was intended to be a shot and that's why Thoe got turned the wrong way probably

The penalty was a pathetic call. Textbook defense. Ref mistaked it for a grab.

Thought he was good in OT. Was being cautious for sure but Sweden had outplayed them and carried the play no need to try and gamble by rushing up ice

That goal had 2 players to deal with it. It should have been an easy defense for the tracking forward and not only did he somehow give up position Lindstein just sat and watched and then did nothing when he was gonna get to the net.

My critique would be a slow start and a couple cut backs that worked but would be problematic at the NHL level. I dont blame him for any of above at all

It was Scott Young. I believe on the Province but can't remember. I agree with Sting regarding the PK goal. How was he not good in OT? He barely played and nothing happened when he was on the ice.

I like Schneider...who wouldn't like a big, tough, 23-yr old RH defenseman...but I'm not sure why they seem to like him as much as they do....he's not going to be much help to the transition game (and I'm not completely sold on his defensive game)...unless you're looking to split the Hronek/Hughes pairing when healthy again? The big upside to that is dropping Myers to the 3rd pairing....which would be so nice, but having another 2-way puck mover would be preferable IMO.

I like Schneider but I'm still wary about taking Zibanejad without retention.

Zibanejad is the OEL of forwards. That contract f***ing sucks.

Judge for yourselves but stop the frame at 1:20 and tell me who has the goal scorer. And something i never saw originally was that it wasn't even an intentional pass it was a shot deflected off the stick which threw off the coverage IMO.

On the last one stop it at 1:45 and look at the coverages
