do what the 2011 flyers did. trade BOTH of them they traded jeff carter and mike richards seperately.
one bcause of cultural change and 2. the baggage they carried at the time they named claude giroux their next captain. i think he was 22/23

lol the flyers won eff all doing that

whatever their history, i sincerely doubt pettersson and miller are PRESENTLY fighting. There's probably nothing to talk about or resolve behind the scenes... wouldn't be surprised if their teammates are making jokes about it. the team is simply having a tough stretch and the power play swap is simply tactical.

I understand and agree that a scandalous conspiracy that explains away all the Canucks problems and justifies exciting blockbuster trades is very appealing for what we do around here.

they got good pieces though.
and at the end of the day, isn't that the point of the NHL? to get good value in trades.

I can't imagine Miller and Pettersson not playing on the first powerplay is because of their feud....I can't imagine Tochett ever countenancing it.

But I actually don't hate the idea, if both Pettersson and Miller are playing at top form. I think when you have Hughes playing as well as he is, and when you have him playing the full two minutes, you can have a deadly combo with Hughes and Pettersson and Hughes and Miller on both powerplays, and perhaps it would lead to an overall better powerplay.

Its definitely not conventional.
It's not effective.

It's not like they're even trying to create two real PP units. The 2nd unit is still just the scraps. Tocc has just decided to dump one of Petey or Miller on there for reasons no one can discern.

He took a video of himself returning it. Sometimes bullying is a good thing.
Truly one of my unpopular but correct opinions. People need to get bullied more.

All I know is, the Canucks two highest paid forwards aren't performing up to their contracts, and it's hurting the team.

I'm not opposed to trading either of them, but Miller's NMC does limit their options and the potential return. I'd rather see a salaried player moved than one of their top few prospects and/or a 1st rounder.

I think Alvin and Rutherford are going to swing big here, and once the break is over, it'll be sooner than later.

Of course it’s not effective right now. Pettersson and Miller are playing like garbage, and Noeser and Debrusk have gone cold. There is basically no iteration that would be effective based on how are top offensive players are currently playing.

Dallas has Seguin's 9.85M in LTIR and Benn is on the last year of his contract. I wonder if JTM would interest them? Robertson/Hintz seems to be struggling without Pavelski's presence on their line. Wyatt Johnson for JTM?

They need to go all in or sell. Middle of the pack again.

LA VGK EDM a level or 2 ahead of the Canucks.
We are playing similar to or just above Seattle/CAL
ANAH, SJ both look like they will be good in 3-4 years.

This Petey/JT Miller crap when they are not playing well needs to end. Our media feasts on it and the team cant take it.

Either trade one for a young c/prospect, cap dump, picks or for a dman +. Then go after more

or just start trading for futures. This middle of the pack stuff is garbage

NJ/DAL has ample prospects/young players and needs scorers.
Buf/NSH are run by idiots and probably value players like kilmovich/karlsson
heck even JT for lindholm +
