The way I see it, the issue tonight has been -- even though this is a term I normally have nothing but the deepest disdain for -- softness. The Danes have played a physical game and worked very hard, and so those nifty tick-tack-toe plays that were so productive against previous opponents have disappeared. Coming up with alternative ways to score has proven to be too much to ask of these players so far.
Playstyle looked much better and more fresh in the first three games but now it's merely a distant memory...No forecheck, no grit. Marjamäki plays his Worl-cup passive hockey again. He never learns.
