Surprisingly, Hall and McDavid could never get chemistry like this on the Oilers. Maybe something just clicked?
Or maybe the competition is slightly worse than it would be in the NHL?

Lower competition. But they also didn't play together much after the first handful of games. I would like to start them together maybe next year.

That, but I think it also has to do with maybe Hall is lowering the reigns a bit and letting McDavid run the line instead. Hall has always been the one that runs the line in terms of puck possession and was the player all teams gun for when playing the Oilers. Now that mcDavid is here and can play just as well or better than him, maybe he will let McD run it and let himself just be the finisher. That's what the Oilers need more is a finisher. So I can only hope Hall will be that finisher we need.

I agree with this statement. Not sure if Hall will ever be a huge goal scorer but he can play with mcdavid with good effect if as you say he backs off a wee bit and looks more for the open space rather than the puck. The more they play together in this tourney the better it is for the oilers.

I liked the atmosphere more when Hungary was playing, that's because of the amazing fans. Your guys battle really hard too, you guys have a chance to beat Belarus.
