I thought Germany would have a good chance to make the QF, but on the expense of Slovakia and not the U.S. Would be fun with all of Germany, Slovakia and Denmark advancing. (No offence americans).

Larkin ruining the PP.. He fkd up three times in 30 seconds killing every play they tried.

By IIHF standards , Nelson's goal never looked good to me...he never got a stick on it...Martin R. with two glorious chances on the pp, score could easily have been 2-0, at that pt.

Yanks started well, couple of devastating hits too...but haven't really had any sustained pressure 5 on 5, since early in the first...

NOT looking good for team red white n blue...and now another SVK pp

"Larkin playing poorly"? Looks pretty good to me, so many zone entries, moving the puck around nicely, skating well

Kyle Connor needs more icetime

Team just can't get out of their own way. Every time they start generating some good chances they take some bad penalties. Both penalties by Vatrano and Foligno were completely unnecessary.

US needs to run Connor-Larkin-Matthews line in the 3rd if they want to win although my guess is that they'll try to run the clock out and try to go to overtime

I disagree that top line has been bad and Larkin has been a part of that. They haven't had much sustained pressure in the Slovakian end.

Well Matthews had one glorious chance. But I thought best chances belonged to SVK, especially Martin Reway this game. SVK have to feel encouraged. Maybe just one goal away from upset + QF's

One bad bounce, another seeing eye goal and US may be sunk. BUT they have ONLY themselves to blame
