Poor effort by Canada. They are making all the usual mistakes on European ice and with the IIHF rules. Chasing the puck too much on sides of the ice and undisciplined play (by IIHF standards).
 
Absolutely disgusting play by that rat faced **** Corey Perry. Hope Canada loses and gets bounced by Sweden. Frigging Mickey Mouse play by Perry there, I'm still livid. :madfire:
 
Yeah at least this isn't an elimination game. Thank god.

Finns have buried their chances got to give them credit for that. Talbot is playing his last game in the tournament.
 
Love how people who probably have never seen Talbot play a game until now think they can sum up his skill level in 2 hours. Never change HF Boards. You're gold.
 
Finnish commentators in intermission didnt think it was intentional by Perry, and if it wasnt that it was max. 2mins and nothing more.
 
I personally don't care who wins or loses. This is such a meaningless tournament imo that it is not worth it to get all angry about it.
 
Refs are not doing any favors for Canada, several obvious Finnish penalties missed. That said Talbot is horrible 2 very soft goals, and overplayed in the third one.

Perry's move on Laine was BS. He could have avoided contact if he wanted.

Also some pretty salty comments here by some Canadians. Yes, we know you don't care too much for this tournament. Europeans do however. And vice versa, we don't care about the gimmicky little WC you have going on in September.
 
I hope Laine is not severely injured? It would be really a pity if he couldn't play anymore.
 
Now let's see our team giving up few bad goals. Canada is the team that can score 3 on us in one period no doubt. No need to get cocky guys.
 
I was thinking there would be discussion of the game here but seems its mostly sad teenagers releasing their angst. Come on enjoy the game!!

One more period anything can happen, I wouldnt mind if Finland still loses because looks like we are not gonna get to meet Sweden otherwise :handclap:

Even Ray Ferraro was appalled by that play and called Perry out on it, that says a lot.
 
Love the Canadian fans downplaying this tournament now because they're finally losing in a game.

Hockey is a tough game. Even this tournament with our mediocre roster.

Back to back Olympics champions, I don't put much faith into these Mickey Mouse tournaments. Case in point - the main focus is on 2 18 year old prospects.

I mean, I hate the play by Perry. It was pointless and dirty. But to ring a nation as dumb and dirty because of the play of one player in an emotional game is just ignorant :shakehead
