Wonder why Canadiens have that 'deep' team on ice now? Meaningless or not, but they have pretty good team on paper. Maybe road trip to Russia is good end of spring. Drink drank drunk.

If Komarov would have done that to McDavid you would be too. It's never a good plan to try become liked by trying to end a young kid's season. Why you support Perry's play?
 
I'm Glad.

I just want another final against Russia this time in Russia.

This is a lesson for the next games as well, so excited to see them rebound.

Well it is a Mickey Mouse tourney.....teams don't even have their best players.

Hockey is a tough game. Even this tournament with our mediocre roster.

Back to back Olympics champions, I don't put much faith into these Mickey Mouse tournaments. Case in point - the main focus is on 2 18 year old prospects.

It's because Laine is their next generation of hope. They have to make sure he's maintaining that success and become their next Finnish flash. Clearly he's not as good as McDavid but we'd have the same reaction if one of their players tried some dirty tricks on him.
 
Everyone in this thread cares about the game, we all have the same scenario - a colour commentator making it hard to see objectively.
Perry on Laine wasn't nice or clean, no need to call him expletives though. Although, I'm a bit disappointed that this sort of play does tend to come out from some player on Canada once in a while - being the best but wanting to win so bad that there's a dark lining to the cloud.
But we have those too - Ruutu.

Finland deserves lead, but maybe two goal lead if we consider non-calls. Big period coming up, hopefully Laine is ok and his story gets the end it deserves.

Don't even play him unless he's 100%.

Leave him out of the Denmark game if they win as well. They likely won't need him to win that one.

Of course I say this as a guy who doesn't want to see his offseason ruined in anyway due to an injury lol.
 
It was just unlucky for Laine the impact on the knee came directly from the side. No need to crucify Perry. Just a bit sad it might have been Laine's last game in the tournament if the knee gets swollen enough.

Still highly unlikely Perry did it intentionally.
 
Love the chirps everyone has for Canada, it's not like Canada has ever lost a game and then went on to win the tournament. If Laine wants to play with the big boys that **** is going to happen. His age is irrelevant, I know komorov won't think twice about running over anyone.
 
3rd period starting, lets stick to what's happening on the ice, I'm expecting a lot of forecheck from Canada and a lot of pressure to our defenders

All of a sudden ?

This tournament has always been a mickey mouse tournament, hard to take it seriously when countries best players aren't even playing.

Talbot looked bad on the 2nd goal, first one look like it deflected off a Canuck stick...he did cough up the puck which led to that seeing eye shot...Still Dman's gotta yell to warn him to move it...

3rd goal he made a great save, BUT no help with that puck left in the crease.
 
I don't understand what Talbot was doing on that first goal, he just stood there like a statue. He looked like he had the reaction time of a 600 year old sleep deprived turtle.

Now you're wrong. Komarov isn't a rat. He doesn't have a record and he's in our 2nd line to score. What comes to Laine's situation... You're just dead wrong.
