If I didn't know any better... I'd say this game was a decade ago when our hockey programs were comparable and not in 2019 when the Swedish program is so much stronger.

I think there will be hell to pay in the 2nd period and the Swedes will bring it on strong. I loved that first period though and am calling it the best first period the Czechs have played in a decade!

Why all this negativity? Czechs dominated the first period and played really well. Sweden will most probably elevate its game going into the 2nd and 3rd. Can't we just enjoy an attractive hockey game?

Vrána what a pace, Palát what a calm... Unlike the previous tournament, Moravčík and Kovář look great. First line need to net a goal as soon as possible, Simon plays quite well, shame the PP situation didn't end up better. Need to keep that forechechking level set high. On the other hand, Kempe's line seems to be the most dangerous today. Lundqvist shall concede other goal if we keep shooting.

From what I've seen on the replay I think he did fall very easy. Then again, if not for the stick of the Swedish defender it would've been a 1 on 1 vs. Lundqvist.

I don’t think a guy like Nylander fits with him.
That being said, you’re right they should give them a little longer of a opportunity, I will happily be wrong if they produce together

i’m rooting for sweden (mostly because of william nylander lol), but that was meh.

sweden’s d looks kinda sus, but they’ll tighten up hopefully.

the pettersson line could be really good if they can continue to build some chemistry going forward.
