I kind of snicker at the many predictions that the Czechs will score 4-6 goals. On Lundqvist. Playing behind that defense. You wish! Even when Sweden played really bad in the pre-tournament game and the Czechs played a very good game, Czechs still only scored 1 goal on Lundqvist, which was a quite lucky one.

I also guess the Czechs should feel happy you play Sweden in the opener, Wennberg is on his way and Klingberg has been reported to want to come, but has to clear up some stuff first. Then the Swedish team will be very, very strong.

I think it'll be a close game. The Swedish team is already strong and the Czechs will play like they have gasoline in their veins, lifted by the great home crowd.

In fairness... our best C (Faksa) and goalie (Francouz) are in airports somewhere today. I realize Francouz wouldn't be a starter for Sweden and Faksa would be on your 4th line but those guys are big for us. When you're the underdog you need everything you can get!

The exhibition win means nothing. My Oiler's have been undefeated in exhibition for years now!

Don't try to predict this game. Can go either way, I wish the game would be interesting. I'm still waiting for my fellow France team with Texier upfront make an upset for some opponents.

Hopefully he doesn't get Bonk'd for 5 goals! I have a lot of bad memories of an Extraliga/Euro goalie getting shelled at World's by a Top 5 nation

I think 3rd line will really suit Kovar... a lot of fans are opposed to him on the team but I could see him excelling as a 3C... skate like hell and 'go for it' every shift. He could cause some damage in a more limited role.
