How’d Chytil look?
He's going to be good.. not Pettersen good but he has great composure and controls the play very well. He's improved a lot. I'm guessing 40 points next year in NHL and then who knows...

If you look at Kovar's empty netter.. there is Pettersen diving face first in the way. He's amazing. Does not quit.

I wrote when Sweden was up 2-1 that whatever happens in this game all i will remember is the diving. It does not belong. Completely ruined my mood for WHC.
more and less every team on the world is diving (a little bit) when it's needed.

Great game by the Czechs, well deserved win.

Sweden looks weak and the lines doesn't add up at all. Why is Nygård not on this team?
Rasmussen over Nygård is a questionmark for sure. Guess it doesn't matter with Wennberg coming in, though.

Provocation is part of the game certain swedish players couldn't deal with that.
*****
No one

****
Erik Gustafsson
Surprisingly the only one who looked composed in his own zone. Half the time it looked like he was babysitting Ekholm. On another level offensively today.

***
Elias Pettersson
Always creative making stuff happen on his own. Best swedish forward by a mile.

**
Patric Hörnqvist
Borderline three easily the second best forward did what he was supposed to.

Oscar Lindblom
Good along the boards, strong reasonably skilled.

Adrian Kempe
Fast, skilled and strong but under no circumstances should he be a center he doesn’t process the game fast enough.

Henrik Lundqvist
Letting in that first softie really made Sweden loose momentum in the entire first period. Other than that a few big saves, could’ve been a clutch performance but that first goal makes it impossible to rate him any higher.

*
The rest of them except for Hägg, Lander, Loui, M. Kempe and Krüger who gets -*
Grönborg gets -** for his f***ed up game coaching and bad line combinations. Also OEL and Ekholm deserve a mention in the bad column, they are established stars and we should be able to expect more from them. They’re also captains and shouldn’t fall for provocation like this it’s unacceptable.

This is what team Sweden will look like without Rakell, Forsberg, Zibanejad, Landeskog, Hedman, Klingberg, Bäckström etc...

Meanwhile Russia is fielding Ovie, Kuznetzov, Kucherov, Gusev, Malkin , Kovalchuk, Dadonov and Sergachev/Vasi

Wonder which country that wins this group

You are seriously complaining about that? Just look at the number of high-level NHL players you have. Just look at it! Finland has nobody. Two AHL guys and that's it.

The only guy I'd leave off team Sweden is Nylander. A greedy, soft primadonna. Belongs on the golf course at this time of the year.

Instead of congratulating the Czechs on a deserved win (the dives were surprising even for me, but they didn't have an influence on today's game) members on here complain about all sorts of things: refs, ice, opponents players.

Weak! :thumbd:

EDIT: Those who didn't - thanks for the congratulation!
Ooookay so PP and Box play has no meaning then? Thats what youre saying. LOl

Of course PP and Box play in general has an influence, but if you had watched the game, you would know that special teams weren't key in yesterday's game. The game was decided in 5 vs. 5.
