The refs have absolutely screwed Russia, but when I took a look at the replay of Svetlakov's penalty, I could see where he did go out of his way to make an unnecessary hit on the goaltender in his crease. This game means the difference between playing a 3rd seed or 4th seed on Saturday, which could be a huge difference, so they are going to have to be careful with unnecessary hits that the refs can use against them.

To tell the truth, I'm a little scared about Georgiev. The goal was an excellent shot, but he was down on the ice, so anything up high was going in. Samsonov is bigger, and I think he has more talent. I was almost surprised when Bragin went back to Georgiev.

Nah, that shot was screened. I don't think he saw the puck.

Georgiev has been strong so far, I'm less worried about him than about our defence possibly making silly mistakes. But I think the 3rd period will be better for us.

Yeah, refereeing has been pretty terrible. But our efficiency has been lacking today. So many missed chances.
