How do tiebreakers work. If Switzerland loses in regulation does Denmark win because the Swiss lost to denmark?

I believe that if the Swiss lose in regulation, they are either in the relegation game ( if Czechs win ) or the 4 seed ( if Czechs lose ).

Ya think. Backup??? His numbers in Herning last year were .941 right?? And since you are Danish, this was the first Denmark win ever, right or have they already had a win in OT/Shootout and just not in relgulation

First win ever :) :yo:

He is too small for the NHL.. He will however be great in Europe.

Although someone might take a chance with a late pick on him.. That's what those picks are for anyway.

Denmark just needs the Czechs to lose.

Or not to win in regulation. If CZE wins in OT/SO they still lose the tie-breaker.
Basically, if Sweden beats Switzerland in 60, Danmark is in the quarters, am I right? So this additional point was pretty huge for them tonight.

1. Czechs advance only if they win in regulation and Swiss loose in regulation
2. Swiss advance if they don't loose in regulation or Czechs don't win in regulation
3. Danes advance if Czechs don't win in regulation, or if Swiss don't loose in regulation in case of a Czech regulation win

The host nation cannot be relegated.

That would suck if FIN were to go to relegation..

The other team would have nothing to play for.. Would they play anyway?

Wasn't that what happened with Germany a few years back at sr. level? They lost, but couldn't get relegated and instead some other team dropped?

Still, I don't think there's a danger of Finland ending up in the relegation round, Germany should be easy three points.

For anyone with questions on what scenario creates which teams in what place, and how each team can finish in which spots I made a scenarios thread outling how every team can possibly finish in each position. ;)

Yes you are right, now denmark dont have to count on Putin to get to QF, Sweden have a say to.
