Shouldn’t even be in the league at this point. He’s a danger to illegally hurt someone at all times. Ridiculous.
Working on his Trouba elbow technique now instead of just pile driving someone into the boards. If this asshole somehow broke his neck and never walked again, let alone skate, it would be wonderful.

I read an article fairly recently that said Trotz was the stupidest, most bullshit, nonsensical GM hire in any sport since the Knicks hired Phil Jackson to be GM for that stint about a decade ago lol.

Nashville was a WC caliber team in Brunette's first year that was generally league average or slightly above in most metrics. Tried to go big in FA to elevate that team, problem is their core and their big additions are almost all 30+. They're shooting 2% below league average, if they were at average they'd probably be that same team from last year, maybe worse because the team is aging.

I'm not at all a basketball fan, but I saw last week an article where the author likened Trotz's GM hiring to when the Knicks hired Phil Jackson to run their front office about a decade ago.
Basically the piece was asking what makes Trotz so qualified to be a GM and if it's only because of what he was as a head coach, which is an altogether different position. Just like Phil Jackson was as a head coach,
Unlike Phil Jackson, who I don't think was ever a head coach for the Knicks (he was a longtime player there decades and decades prior to that management stint), Trotz was named GM of the team where he got his NHL head coaching start, as well as the stop he stayed at as a head coach the longest.

His moves really come off as what a guy who's casually watched the sport over the past 5 years would do. Just sign guys off name recognition. I will say their player development was a big problem before he got there, will have to see if it continues to be so.

I can totally see the Rags upsetting them in 7 games.
If the 2019 Jackets could sweep the 2019 Lightning you can bet the Capitals can be beaten by somebody.
The Rags just have to get in first. They’re the only team I think that can really upset them in round one.

The Canes and Devils should be embarrassed they let this Capitals team sleep walk the 2nd half
