Finns need to lose tomorrow so you can play US in the quarters instead of us. ;)

Plus they have some players I'd rather see later on in the tourny.

It's not like the fins have played the 'important games' yet so you can't even make that comparison.

Super impressed with The finnish first line. Absolutely dynamic and lethal. PP is deadly.

However they seem a bit lost in their own end. PK not looking sharp either.

But this year NO team is flawless so that might not even problem
 
btw was nice to see a slight tribute to Lemmy from the production crew. Played Bomber (I think?) on one of the video packages.
 
Finland has a nice amount of firepower but that's about it. With that PK and D any top team will absolutely crush them. Can't see them advancing to the medal games unless they magically manage to fix that in a couple of days.

He did. It just depends if they say Slovakia gained possession or not. He set up Puljujarvi coming to the net who shot it off the post. The puck went to the boards, a Slovak and Puljujarvi are there, Puljujarvi gets it, passes it to Laine, back to Puljujarvi, goal.

Doesn't matter either way, it's pretty clear the line is dominant

No point for Aho precisely because of the Pulju-Laine-Pulju passing.

Rantanen and Kapanen are our Forsberg and Lindholm, and they haven't really set the world on fire thus far.

I think his comparison is pretty good. The way Sweden battled against the US the other night had similarities to our team in 14.

No, Puljujärvi stole the puck from Slovakians, gets it to Laine who passes it pack to him.
 
The D and goaltending is still very worrying. Scoring goals won't be a problem but if we can't get our defense sorted out before the real games start we're gonna get kicked out early.
 
No medal games for us this year. D and PK too weak, a lot of trouble on the defensive zone. Sad, because offense is so good. Maybe the best in a while.
