how's that not a goal, when the goalie scooped the puck from behind the line?

agree ...visualy the puck is beyond the line.

Because the angle is not far from the real (90 degrees) and their is space between the puck and the line, the puck being inside. Allowing for a margin in the assessment.

So to not see a goal, you need to have a blody twisted mind or an explanation and a will that twists your mind.

unreal !

Well I predicted Sweden 4-2 Russia before the game.

Happy with the Russian performance. They deserved to win this but oh well, at least they avoid Finland in the QF

I think they can win gold if they stop taking dumb penalties and improve on the special teams.

Sweden is 2/4 on the PP against Russia.
Russia is 0/1 (It has been poor most tournament).

the only explanation I have is the initial call was no goal, so imagination while 100% legit is not enough to overturn. It's ok, just a group stage, and a great game

Very impressed with Russia today. Clearing the crease, back-checking hard, hard forechecking.

However Sweden has been very resilient and the PP has been very opportune.

Ridiculous tripping call against Russia ends up losing them the game.

Idiotic call. Whats the Russian supposed to do, make sure Nylander doesn't trip over his skates?

I don't think Sweden will be too happy with how they played this game. But we have tightened up defensively, the end to close it out was really good.
