Hmm, he maybe was a steal and he is great. He is one of the best player in this tournament. But 2th round is after all fairly high and you have players like Aho that didn't even get drafted and he is by far the best d-men in sweden and maybe among all countries.

So even if Aho is not technically not a steal since no one was picking him, but with saying steal you are implying most underrated player of that draft, and that was Aho for sure. Seriously this scouts that earn big money from scouting players thinks that there are over 200 more talented players than Aho in that age group? They should all get fired. He should have easily been a first rounder.

Plus there are a lot of other high end talented in the late rounds, so I do not what to say that a 2 rounder is the biggest steal, since that 2 th round is fairly high and the biggest steel you will usually find in the later rounds.
Russia has Tolchinsky who hasn't been drafted but was the best at Carolina Hurricanes camp this summer.

Only skimmed through the game, but I thought Swedens defence looked better this game overall. There were less obvious mistakes in this game. On the other hand Russia didnt make the same amount of brain-farts as Denmark and the Czecks did either, so it was a pretty tight game all in all.

As someone else said, me and my fellow swedish fans were great last year. But only during Sweden's games. Feel like the arenas were pretty empty the other games. In Canada people seem to go to every game they can. I love it and I wish the WJC would be there every year.

I don't.

Do not really see what we won with this victory, this will probably mean that we will face finland. How is that good? They have to be smart. With all respect of slovakia, but they havnt been very good this tournament but finland is always hard to beat, would much rather face slovakia.

Ridiculous reason, Renberg-style. What the hell is wrong with you? Focus on the wrong things. Loser-mentality, ulvvf. Get rid of it!

The team gets to stay in Toronto now, instead of traveling 500 km and check in at a new hotel in Montreal. It's like getting home field advantage.

Agreed, Sweden won against Russia one of the premier hockey nations, it deserves some praise not just complaints.

And it's juniors, they are bound to makes mistakes.

Also doesn't their team have like 500+ khl games between the players? If so i'd say our team deserve alot of praise especially when considering how young they are. And it makes next year so much more interesting.

Nylander really needs to be better at working through traffic. He initiates no contact and awoids uncomfortable places. But once he sees open ice he's like a ballerina with superskills. Reminds me a little of Mike Modano...

Agree. He's still a good player, but I think he could take over games if he played with more grit and moved his feet more.

Yeah, the same about Sweden - Finland. Or Real - Barcelona...

Well Finland and Sweden is different. We are neighbours and want to be the best in Nordic countries. I can understand Canada's rivality with USA but Russia, no.
