Somewhat understandable that they switched off a little having won the big 2 games in the group, but they had better hope that it's as easy as switching it back on when it matters.

Also, was that 3 empty nets that the Russians missed in that game? Slovakia should just go without a goalie.

Yeah, 4-1 is definitely laid back, could've scored much more if they weren't so relaxed today. Somewhat disappointing win, strangely enough. But still, I trust that the team can turn up the heat when needed. We'll take the win.

Not that I'm looking for one, but the biggest negative out of this game was failure to finish on empty net and other wide open chances. Other teams won't be as accommodating as Belarus was in giving up numerous high percentage scoring chances. They have to take advantage of every opportunity presented. Slovakia will play with high intensity and energy, as they always do against Russia, but if we can get by them, that will lock up the No. 1 seed, which will hopefully open the path to the Semifinal a little wider.

Most of the Russians looked like they hadn't broken a sweat during the national anthem.

Well, the intensity of the game was nowhere near the Finland match. Both teams were tearing up the ice in that contest. I'm hoping for a more consistent and focussed game against Slovakia. Go Russia!
