Melnyk really should have broke the bank and re-signed him... he's well worth his contract... just an insult to the fansGod I miss that guy.
Still wear the jersey out of respect.
Losing him was worse than losing Karlsson.

Love stone, heart and soul guy. There was always something about him, even in juniors where people always made a lot about his skating you could still see the hockey i.q,skill and gamer in him, I always believed he was going to turn into a l good n.h.l player.God I miss that guy.

We should really make some NHL teams play national teams (nhl teams - the players the national team gets) those games would be awesome.

Needless to say he has topped out better then that, I can understand why a sens fan would miss him more then EK.
I'm moving to Ottawa soon... the guy has to go... zero problems with the city or fanbase.... all of the shit they have to go through with Melnyk and they are still loyal... solid fanbaseWe’ve given up on Melnyk a long time ago.
Who trades a HoF defenceman and the team’s top three goal scorers in the same season?
For sure.Well, his personality was very good for the young guys and he was just a little more affordable than EK65.
I know but today that would be nice too. They used to do this with the Soviets back in the late 70s and early 80s.

I see the view of both sides, that's a tight squeeze to be in as fans.Good for you! Ottawa is a nice city.
I’ve lived all over the world and never mind coming back here.
It’s got a lot of the amentities of a big city but without the crazy traffic and urban sprawl.
Plus, there are great parks just 20 minutes away for cycling and hiking and ski hills as well.
Our fan base is divided - half want the fans to boycott the team entirely to force some kind of sale, while the others think we shouldn’t take NHL hockey for granted and support the young guys the team has drafted.

Canada looks better. For all of you that blasted this team, they got atleast two lines that can score.
My points exactly.They’re still Canada.
They usually improve as the tournament goes on.
Very crazy. Ah well, it all worked out in the end.Amazing how the art and science of scouting works: Stone gets hurt in his draft year and goes from being well-regarded to 6th rounder. Crazy.

Haha, I'm at work, can't watch and was wondering if the shot stats had stopped updating this period.German scores on their first shot of the 2nd it only took a PP and just over 18 minutes.
I obviously followed him very closely and Stone followed the Tavares route of working very hard on his skating early in his career.
I don't know what this whole thing about a prospect working hard and becoming outstanding, even relative to their draft position. As a Sabre fan, it's "oh, that guy didn't work out", rinse... repeat.
