They are team like that, until now they were bad team in disguise, it were their opponents which make them look better, including Slovakia.

I don't see them even that strong in 5vs5. Against stronger opposition gonna be tough.
They had 2 pp goals early on. One goal where the German player steals the puck from his goalie and hands it over for an empty net.
And Mentha's awesome goal after the German defenseman just passed it straigth to him.
So PP and a ****load of individual errors.

Doubt you can hope on a Swedish team having so many screw ups.
PP is sick. But they need to show more in even strength

They can only play against the opponent they are playing against, and they won 8-1.

Shots were 36-10 over the last two periods.

49-16 in the game.

Hopefully they continue to improve as per usual.

Valid points as there is still work to be done by this team but obviously they are better then what they were at the start of the tournament with little preperation time.And how do we know how good sweden is yet really? I mean, they have lost a game here too right? I guess they can't be qualified as a juggernaut yet themselves.

We will know more about them after the swiss game I would think, let's see just how polished they are right now. Really looking forward to that game.

Unfortunately... it is a pity that we screwed up with them. Obviously, Slovak team would play more equally with Russian stars. But Germany won and they deserve to play in QFs.

Germany has come a long way very quickly.

Swiss, Danes, Germans, Latvians are all competitive from time to time.
