"This was a mutual decision of the ice hockey player and the coaching staff of the national team in regard to a very intensive participation of the player in the KHL tournament and the (2018) Olympic Games."

That might be the first time I've ever heard anyone describing a Swedish national team as being wrestlers.

It's because they only play like this against the Russians, trying to taunt them and to trigger their temper into getting unbalanced. It has proven to be an effective way to make Russia take dumb penalties etc. It is somewhat different from what Canada does, they are just though to everyone, but Sweden usually tries this on Russias star players.
