The refs are chosen from 4 different nations for each game, so 'bias' is highly unlikely. But you did say that, so I will withdraw the previous comment.

I understand. I didn't see that moment with Shirokov, so I can't comment there. Of course, reffing should be completely netural and I support that fully, if Swiss fans feel that the reffing was terrible, they need to take a look at it and prevent that from happening in the future.

It was a good game from both teams and we're somewhat optimistic for the last two games.

That is often a factor for the team that has home ice advantage. Referees are influenced, to at least some degree, by their surroundings, so when you have a noisy home crowd howling every time one of the homeboys fall down, you are going to get some borderline calls in your favor. In such a case, it depends on who is home team!
