Yeah, great player but not a leader in my world. USA has had a great roster sometimes but when Kane is supposed to carry a team they will not win. Perhaps it will change this year with the talent of Hughes brothers, Gaudreau etc.
With the Blackhawks he always had a great organisation with great defending. Really great defending.

But he has carried teams before, hell........he has been carrying his hawks team for at least 2-3 years now.They would be nothing without him.

Eh, JVR not cashing in on that glorious feed in the Slovak loss isn't on Hughes. He was one of the few Americans who skated well in that game.

JVR has had a number of opportunities and was unable to finish. Hughes set him up for one, Kane on another. He's going to have to fight through it.

I haven't seen the first 2 goals but according to the comments here both coaches seemed to decide for the wrong goalies.
Good for the Finns that somebody else than Kakko scored. Of course I have nothing against if Kakko would score the game winning goal.

When I see Jack, I just see a player that seems to be overwhelmed by the size of the players up here.

I don’t see a lack of skill, or effort, more of a realization.

I think he will be just fine, but I just don’t see him putting up a massive amount of points this tournament

Same last game. grts-kurri or kariya-teemu level passes but no. They dont even expect them, too smart and fast
