Agree with you though, I predict USA to win, lets say 4-1 if they don't take it lightly.

Yes, but did you account for the Kaapo Kakko factor? Which is that Kakko must always score more goals than the opposing team.

All depends on the compete level of USA. Either way, Finland will be going all in 100%, but I think this one comes down to goaltending. Very hard to predict but I'll go with USA 4 Finland 2.

So Vehviläinen on the goalie position. Jalonen surely knows what he does and he has also his reasons to put Vehviläinen in the goal but can anyone tell me the reasons why? Kevin Lankinen did'nt play bad in the first two games against Canada and Slovakia in my opinion. Ilomäki wasn't so bad too in my opinion but ok Luostarinen is possibly on the same level like Ilomäki. Jalonen knows the player of course better than I so there will be a good reason too to replace by Luostarinen.

I think they just want to rotate the lineup. We will not have any new additions so feels understandable that they want to give ice time for everyone. They will see what works and what will not. No one is yet out of the lineup for good.

Yes it could become later a problem for Finland if Kakko is almost the only one who scores. He won't score in every game but unfortunalety it's very unlikely that Finland gets all top players and scorers of the NHL in the same year for the WC also not in future.

Today, I think that USA will beat Finland by a decent margin, Kakko will not score points and Hughes will get on board. 4-2 for USA probably.

Kakko is probably pretty hard to shutdown tho. You have to stop him from getting the puck because if he gets it he is very dangerous.

Well, I think we have a good chance of doing well, though the US are naturally clear favourites. They will rely on speed and skill and we on our organization and discipline. If we have bad lapses on that front, the US will be really effective in punishing our team defence.
