GDT: Group A - May 13 - Slovakia vs Canada

Canada wins 6-5 on a buzzer beater shot against a MASSIVE underdog in their home country and all I read is how classless the fans are, obviously you're gonna be upset. Nobody cares about the Canadian anthem outside of Canada, who cares if they boo it.

Canadians should be happy there's even hockey played outside of Canada considering how little the rest of the world cares.
 
That was probably the worst display of sportsmanship I have ever seen. Never mind the booing of the Canadian anthem, the throwing things at Canadian players including coins was an absolute disgrace. I hope any true Slovak hockey fan would be embarrassed with it.

This game exemplifies what it’s like to be a fan of Slovakia. Hope and eventual heartbreaking disappointment time and time again. :/

A blatant shove in the numbers is 2 minutes. In every game and situation and then it's 4 on 4 and no PP goal for Canada. No idea where the game would have gone from there, but Canada was gifted a undeserved opportunity to score a game killer a couple of seconds before the end of regulation on a blatant ref mistake.

Slovakia should be ashamed of themselves! I wasn't a case of a few fans acting like immature children. It was thousands...throwing things, booing and whistling during the Canadian national anthem. Pretty embarrassing. Hopefully this tournament is never held in Slovakia again. They don't deserve it.

In the end, the better team won, despite not bringing their best effort. I guess I have to lower my expectations considering Canada brought their D team. Pretty well all the best players decided not to go to this tournament.
 
Great entertaining game so far. Unfortunately, we always lost like this. If there was some definition of slovakian hockey, this is IT...

I feel ashamed by certain fans in stadium, this not belong to hockey. However Canadian fans be a bit emphatic too. We just lost THIS game 2 seconds before the end. This reaction could happen everywhere in the world. Just remember Vancouver fans after SC final with Boston.

If you Canadians only knew what it felt like to constantly get the worse end of games you might understand better the frustration of the Slovak fans. Not saying it wasn’t uncalled for but when you are second best so many times and get so close it’s infuriating. We just want one good year
 
Great game, amazing effort by our players. The way this game ended hurts for sure, but the fans' reaction? I feel so embarrassed for being Slovak right now...

Poor display by the fans in attendance that otherwise mired a great atmosphere most of the game.

Canada still looks bad. Their coverage in the defensive end is atrocious.

Yes so why did you say european fans? Swedish fans dont do this. Dont generalize.

You let in 6 goals today!! I mean...................cmon!!

This is sore loser stuff and it gets sickening around here.
