Congratulations to Team Great Britain... relentless physical effort, stellar performance, these guys will collect their points.
As to Germany, what a sloppy game from our top lines. Only rays of light were Hager's 3rd line, and Moritz Seider, who's making huge leaps forward and plays with so much maturity already.

I think the score reflects the game pretty good. Nevertheless, I thought the Britons played really well. Will be interesting to see how they do if they have to be more offensively active.

It was also the German national anthem until 1918 ("Heil dir im Siegerkranz" @ ), as well as Russias national anthem until 1933 ( "Molitwa Russkich" @ ), Lichtenstein ("Oben am jungen Rhein! @ National Anthem: Liechtenstein - Oben am jungen Rhein ) and even Norway ("Kongesangen"@ "Kongesangen" - Royal Anthem of Norway [FULL] ).

I don't think is a family thing despite the fact that almost every monarch family has german roots. I think it just sounds good :-D

Very unlucky for GB to be in the group with France and not Italy, as the French seems to have a decent team, didn't watch them against Denmark, but a SO-loss against Denmark should imply France is really good. Meaning GB will be in trouble.

And that is sad, I really enjoyed this GB-team.

The goalies in the Denmark-France game were pretty bad for 90% of the game. Especially the Denmark goalie.

Lol at the hot takes on Draisaitl in this thread. He started off slowly in his first game in more than a month where he wasn't playing 100% against Great Britain. (He still scored, mind you).

Calling him a product of McDavid after that is just insane.
