Sport1 stream has commercials during the worst possible times :D Germany is pushing hard but the brits are ultra physical

So British have 4 football teams, but only one hockey? I'd say, Germany - England would sound better. Just imagine, Germany - England... hockey match.

Brit's are not push overs, playing surprisingly smart hockey, one situation/shift at a time. Super simple hockey.
Their goaltender had a strong first period. German's so far haven't figured them out yet.

In Football it is a special regulation.

Rugby, Cricket, Field Hockey and others too. Ice Hockey and Athletics are the only sports where there's always just a Team GB. Field Hockey has a GB team at the Olympics and so did Football for the London games. Then there's the British and Irish Lions rugby tours.

I think Ice Hockey is the only team sport with a Team GB and no individual England, Scotland, Wales or N.Ireland teams.

And in what part of the UK hockey is most popular?

Very weak performance from germany so far, if you compare the swiss before it's a hugh difference

The home nations have individual football teams because international football pre-dates the advent of international and continental football's governing bodies by several decades.

Wrong! Basketball,Handball,Volleyball and in Olympics Football as GB too.

Mostly in Scotland and northern England. Don't know how big it is in the whole of N.Ireland and Wales but Belfast and Cardiff are big clubs with lots of fans. The big hockey cities are Nottingham, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff.

The other cities with teams in the Elite League and below have good fan bases but I think a lot of people within 20 miles of some teams don't actually know that there is a hockey team near them.
