Have you seen the mid 90s canadian teams? They were worse.Well deserved by an undermanned Finland. This TC is awful. I'm starting to hope we just get dumped on the rest of the round robin. This is by far the worst roster Canada has sent - and it appears with very minimal effort made in contacting or attracting players - in the last half decade.
on a empty net goal? a foot out? why didnt they play him on the PP, but put him in when canada pull their goalie.Kakko again..................this will get the prospect board raging!!

Its all good, The Devils coach has a first person view of both players, and we get the first pick, and the better pick. Just remember that.
Not going to comment on Hughes vs Kakko, but it was more than an empty netter for that 2nd goal. He deflected the puck away in his own zone and chased it down to secure the game. It was an all around effort, even if the actual scoring of the goal was the easiest part.on a empty net goal? a foot out? why didnt they play him on the PP, but put him in when canada pull their goalie.

Kakko making the defensive play to break up the 6v5 attempt of evening the game up and scoring the empty net goal hurt them.please tell me your not saying the empty netter from a foot out, hurt canada. It was the go ahead goal that did.
These elite level Canadian players are struggling on the big ice. Why? Isn’t bigger ice favour the faster and more skilled players? Guys like mark stone and marchessault look totally lost. Maybe it’s cause they can’t crash and attack like they do on smaller ice, they don’t have as good hockey iq as people think
All i said is that it will get the prospect board raging, I have no horse in that Kakko-Hughes battle among fanbases whatsoever.on a empty net goal? a foot out? why didnt they play him on the PP, but put him in when canada pull their goalie.

You sound desperate.
ahh we have a gypsy fortune teller here, devils have the first pick. remember that. And the coach has a front row seat to both of the picks in this tourneyLets hope Devils just keep pumpung Hughes tires and take him. I wanna enjoy Kakko killing them for the next 2 decades…![]()
So they are too good for this tournament? And they are performing bad first game to troll everyone ?It's actually the opposite.
Ughhh a bad team ughhhh. Finns have been saying they have worse team they’ve had in years. Canada has a team full of top 4-6 dman and top-6 forwards. It’s simply lack of strong hockey iq, non adaptable, these guys don’t have the clutch gene
Big ice vs small ice is an adjustment aswell, plus theese Finnish players have been playing together for the past four weeks. Also I feel like this version of team Canada doesn’t have enough speed to really take advantage of their higher skill level on big ice.People complaining about the roster... This Canadian roster should still beat this Finnish roster. They didn't lose because they weren't talented enough. They lost because the effort was complete ****. Adding more skill wouldn't make a difference. Vigneualt needs to inform these players this isn't a vacation trip.
We - and Jock Noblener if anyone. Was this an upset? Yeah. Was this anything sensational? Nah.
This is how we do it, people. Have been doing for years.
It's too bad Marjamäki isn't coaching. I wanted to beat $100 on Great Britain to beat Finland. Would have made pretty good money!
