Murray was solid, not worried about goaltending going forward... Finland... very very tough opponent
You do know that team finland is made up of home league players, that they don't have any hope for in Finland , and they beat Canada easily

Congratulation to Finland! A very surprising win, almost nobody gave them a chance. And the very young Kakko played very well according to the comments here.
I didn't see the game, how were the "Swiss" Finns, Rajala, Pesonen, Lindbohm. Did they show a strong performance too?

FWIW, I don't think any Canadian should be calling their team garbage. They just got together this week, and played one preliminary game.

Here, they ran into Finland that may lack the sharpest tip of the spear, but is made of very good euroleague players regardless. And this very group has practically been together for weeks.

Had this matchup been scheduled a week from now, it could have been a very different story.

well, if they can beat Canada this easily... I wouldn't say they have no hope... I can see them getting a medal if they keep this momentum going

A good start by Finland. If you take the five thinkable teams to reach the QFs from this group they are unlikely going to be the one to miss out.

Rajala with 2 helpers, looked solid in the 3rd period (didn't see 1st or 2nd)

Maybe its just Canada that was too bad, but okay they had 5 training pass together , the Finnish team have played together for 1 month most of them

Well deserved by an undermanned Finland. This TC is awful. I'm starting to hope we just get dumped on the rest of the round robin. This is by far the worst roster Canada has sent - and it appears with very minimal effort made in contacting or attracting players - in the last half decade.
It's just going to get worse.

So many Canadian players play on American based teams. They live year round in those cities. Their kids are American born.
Stand to reason many have lost a bit of allegiance, except when it comes to the Olympics and that's only because of ego.
