I think it's great. If anything this isn't as good as it could have been because a lot of these guys on all teams haven't been playing together. The USA team Herb Brooks assembled (for example) played a long schedule together as a team and therefore gelled.


Otherwise, Olympic hockey is always me favorite sporting event on the planet outside of the World Cup (soccer).


Just a matter of opinion though.

Nhl player involved olympic hockey is the best thing I ever witnessed. I pretty much cried in 2010. But this is just some rene bourque led cdn team with a bunch of guys no one knows. Makes me sad.

All y'all saying this is great should try watching AHL hockey on the regular. It's equally lacking in dynamic action, high-end skill, and flair for anything but repetitive perimeter grinding.

I am actually enjoying this Olympics a lot. Without NHL players the field is completely level. Almost every team has a shot at gold.
