missed the game, can anyone give me a rapport about these players:
kozun
ebbett
gragnani
i would be gratfeul. and overall, who did well for team canada so far on this tournament?

Ok guys. I need help understanding how the brackets will play out

Will Canada end up in second place with a win over Korea ?

How will the brackets play out. I don't understand all these crossover games and brackets. I can't seem to find an explanation online

Much appreciated

I am calling for the resignation of NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman for not allowing NHL players to play in this Olympics

As much as I dislike Bettman, even I would not support this. It really isn't linear thinking. Maybe if he was the head of IIHF.

If I'm an NHL owner I'm not excited about my top employee travelling halfway around the world to play in a tournament for two weeks while the team I own plays here.

Besides Trump has the biggest red button of all aimed at North Korea.

Just sayin'

You do realize that the Olympics are being held in South Korea correct?

Kozun: Didn't generate much, was knocked off the puck pretty easily.
Ebbett: Solid if unremarkable, took a nasty hit that looked like a tournament ender but came back and played some PK.
Gragnani: Had a rough game, number of bad turnovers. Seems steady on the powerplay but I wouldn't play him much more at ES

I have to disagree with you. I think the AHL is leaps and bounds ahead of the Olympic teams. Most of these players didnt make their respective AHL teams. They are all castoffs from the NHL/AHL, and the hockey looks like its being played by castoffs. Poor passes, poor breakouts. Players falling and making crappy decisions with the puck. Turnovers galore. Players fumbling the puck. Its too bad the NHL took it to this, this olympic hockey is in no way a resemblance of the top players competing for their countries ... it's simply beer leaguers wearing their countries jerseys.

Just too simple to call it beer league but I see what you saying. And true, everybody outside of NHl is castoff for individual reasons. AHL status is only thing I dont agree with. AHL is development league and these OG guys are just mostly older and more experienced from bigger battles, either from world champs or from their leagues. AHL also have to follow their franchise system. I see what you saying but all of that for example czech forwards would be PPG players in AHL once they jump to that league. Problem is the gap between NHL and the rest still look too big and AHL floating somewhere between imo. I see guys like Nosek, Simon, Jerabek, Nakladal, Hyka, Mozik etc. being immediately effective in AHL. But thats not even close enough to sustain in NHL in bottom roles. The discrepancy between being too good in AHL and being NHLer is too big or maybe those are even just two uncomparable statuses.

Its up to consideration whether all other leagues should primarely focus on NHL development or just play hockey which their fans prefer or they just should doing their best to strictly develope their own program. But yeh, gap is big. if it wasnt, russians with their KHL and 5 foreigners limit would have been best hockey nation. I prefere devoleping its own and challenging others :) .

Just edit to AHL castoffs. From czech perspective whoever was "average" in AHL would never make a national team imo. Guys like Uher, Nedomlel, Straka etc are are so far +- ordinary league players with long shot to national team. You are too strict on that.

Sorry for english, no time to double check it.

Nice game by the Czechs. Their goalie looked pretty solid.
On a side note it is a shame we couldnt see each country's best players face off. That's the whole point of the Olympics is to send your best to represent your country. Major fail by Bettman

Not used to watching a Team Canada where they couldn't outskill the opponent. (there was some shockingly suspect puck handling by the players last night)

Good game by the Czechs.

By the way MASTER P.

I truly apologize if I have offended you in some way. It was not my intent to do so.

Wrong, this team is way better than just about every AHL team, all you have to do is a little research. Guys are going really hard and have lots of puck pressure, thats why you are seeing mistakes. Pretty much every forward on Canada was the best or close to the best forward on their AHL teams before they went and got more lucrative contracts in Europe.

You are actually so wrong especially the last sentence I regret even replying. Canada's payrole is 24 million dollars US this season, which is about 500% higher than any AHL team. I find it exhausting that so many people are ripping on this team/tournament are you all that clueless to the talent level being iced? If you dont like it or cant identify with the game dont bother posting, go be negative somewhere else.

Canada's final seeding depends more on the Czech/Swiss game. Everyone's assuming here the Czech's will win, but if they lose to the Swiss then Canada will take top spot with a win over Korea. On the other hand a regulation win for the Czech's guarantee them 1st place, though an OT win may come down to various tie breakers.
