Hopefully Canada doesn't quit like he did. :D

Have to say though that the refs are doing a great job of letting both teams play. It doesn't even feel like an International game. More like an NHL game.

Vitanen is a good skater, but he's not very smart. The Ritchie call was okay, it looked like he jumped into him a bit.

Let em play, though. Love this hockey. Not much separates these teams.

Virtanen has to do a better job getting open in the offensive zone when he doesn't have the puck. He's great on the rush in, but he can't find that sneaky open ice where McDavid can find him well at all.

That line clicked on that last shift, but wasn't looking good to start the game. virtanen was out of position a little bit. Then again, he's a RWer playing on the left side.

Well that was on hell of a period of hockey.

Very impressed with American's. They can skate and move the puck. And not totally upset that Demko is looking strong in net.

The Canadians are looking good too. Very physical. Comrie looks good, but very aggressive. Could get caught out of his net sooner or later. McDavid line seems to be better than the Domi line for the first time this period.

Why are they booing Eichel? Because he's good, and might challenge to golden boy McDavid for the #1 pick?

Or is there some incident that makes them not like Eichel?

They are booing the US even when they aren't playing against Canada. Insecurity issues.

Agreed, did have a couple late shifts that showed some promise. Feel like that line just needs to finish one chance even strength and the flood gates will open, seem to be grippin the twigs a bit imo.

Minutes before the penalty, I mentioned to my brother how the Americans are always facing the boards as if they're trying to draw a boarding penalty. Just an observation.

The only reason he might challenge is because of the media hype machine, it really isn't close at all
