WelP. Safe to say this us not a very good team.

Sweden is just better in every aspect of the game.

True, but this is one of the worst Canada teams I've seen in a while. Last years team would beat this team 10-0 without much effort. This years defence is pitiful and last year the top 3 lines were probably all more effective than the top line this year. The top 2 lines certainly were miles better than any line Canada has going right now.

That domi reinheirt duclair line was certainly nice. Also having mcdavid.
Don't remember who else was on that team

As a big Marner fan, I agree with the non-leaf homers that he has been pretty bad thus far. He needs to be putting up points and creating scoring chances against teams besides countries like Denmark. He has been extremely underwhelming this tournament. I just hope he isn't a player that plays a style that only works in the OHL and can change his game so it translates more to a NHL style.

Nice try, anyone who has seen your post history on the Leafs boards know this is a lie.

You've posted about Marner sucking over 100 times in the GDTS. You look foolish. Stop embarassing yourself.

Oh boo hoo u baby.. I've said tje whole team has been a let down not just marner.. I actually quite like Marner but have said many times that everyone has looked bad.. it's a dissapointing team.. learn to take some criticism and let people speak their mind.. stop crying and embarrassing ypurself

I don't think I've seen such a slow skating, disorganized Canadian junior team like this one.

For a country that probably puts more money into minor hockey than all of Europe combined it's a bit embarrassing.

Bring in a NTDP like the USA:laugh:

Just this year. Wouldn't want NTDP copy. Historically the US has overlooked kids off that roster that deserve a chance. Wouldn't want Canada to take a step backward.

This years' team is full of under 19 kids, but what kind of exposure is this ?

Coaching is so bad.

Hope they bring in real mentors next year, will be better for sure then.

Aside from Marners hit. Which is questionable , I have to agree that he isn't performing to what he is on team Canada for. Scoring and goals. He is isn't alone tho. Point, Strome and Virtanen are supposed to be w. Him offensively.

Marners offensive game isn't translating to this tougher competition.

Not sure what happened w Strome today and aside from bad penalty JV played a real physical brand of hockey which is what he is being relied for along w. Scoring. Our PK is horrendous and so is out transition game out of our own zone.

Yep spoiled ,they expect gold every year. When they dont get it ,they finger point .Nothing wrong with hockey canada,we are in a retool year .Our best youth is usually snagged by the nhl ,and we have to replace it:handclap:

Do you know who the USA is missing this year?

This team seems to have the bad habit of trying to deflect long shots out of the air in their own zone. It led to one goal against the U.S., and it has almost led to a few other goals.

At least they're shooting on this powerplay. The coaches must have told them to stop with the fancy passes.

Has anyone already talked about biased Russian ref?

I think it was just unspoken knowledge :sarcasm:

I really do wonder how much attention is put on the difference in officiating from the CHL to IIHF in the pre tournament preparations for Canada. We always seem to struggle with stick infractions.
