I'm sorry but the fact that Rielly is a D man makes it even more impressive in my books. It may not win GOTY but I bet it will be a lot closer than a lot of people think here in this thread.

Ference needs to retire. He is the worst defender on the team and thats saying something with our other very poor defenders being Schultz, Nikitin and Aulie (Schultz hasn't looked as bad with Nelson as coach).

Its pretty clear that he has cashed out at this point. He counters his putrid play by being a great citizen with all the programs he organizes, but he still is absolutely terrible. Its a shame because he was brought here as veteran leadership to be a voice over the young players. Then he proceeds to play like absolute **** and calls other players out when he is the biggest offender of poor play and bad mistakes on the team.

A pylon would have done better on that play. Ference actually moves out of the way with a very bizzare stick check attempt. Although, now that I look at it again, Petry just totally takes himself out of the play and actually allows a 3 on 2 to turn into a 3 on 1 with Ference the only guy back. Ference kind of confused himself deciding if he wants to cover Reilly or cover the pass. He just ends up dropping to his knees and looking like a goof.

Stole the puck from Petry, dangled Yakubust, avoided forward pinching, dangled defender1 and toe dragged the 2nd to score the goal, that`s the best you get from a Defenseman. GOTY caliber for sure, I would definitely vote for it.
