Kid is too good for the AHL and needs to get NHL minutes. I wouldn't want to be stuck in that winger long jam. I am surprised he hasn't demanded a trade, but I am forgetting this isn't soccer/football where players have way, way more power over where they want to play.

I feel for him too but I don't think it's all that bad for him. Realistically, he doesn't want to be up to play mostly defensive shifts or to be a bruiser; so he would need to be a Top 9 winger for us - and in some order he would need to be out: Kane, Debrincat, Raymond, Perron, Fabbri, Sprong - in some order. Those are the guys he's competing with and I have to imagine he's not like "I'm so much better than every one of them!! RARAJKRL"... because I don't know if he could realistically make that claim?

The silver-lining for him is that Perron and Sprong are both done after this year and if he's truly better than them, he'll have a chance to push one of them out of the lineup.

This isn't like a Nyquist situation where he was down in the AHL putting up 51 and 60 in back to back and we he was behind like... the rotting corpse of Dan Cleary, Joakim Anderson, Patrick Eaves, and the ever elusive Damien Brunner. If that were the situation, I would jump out a window.

Most probably Perron and Sprong will be extended.

I hope Yzerman will find a taker for Fabbri and that makes a slot for Bergy.
Berggren is not upgrade over Fabbri especially in the playoffs. If he's so inpatient then trade him. Berggren needs to understand that he could be part of something very big

Post injury Fabbri was never a play off factor for the Blues.
You have to tell a player when he is a real part of this big thing not only a spare part.
I think he is doing what he was asked, so tell him it's not enough or when he gets his chance.

Berggren just rejected offer means they will continue to negotiate, everything else is just speculation, hope everything works out good for him and for Red Wings

lol, dont be silly if berggren's forces a move out of town he's not being impatient. He's paid his dues.

And berggren for his caphit would 100% be an upgrade on fabbri. And I like fabbri but he has his own defensive liabilities.

Why do people talk like Mazur adding weight is simple? He was 168 when he was drafted. He’s 175 now. He’s gained just 7 pounds in 5 years with world class training and nutrition. Some people just don’t have the frame to add much weight.

Even if he doesn't, who here actually expects Fabbri to make it an entire season without an injury. Personally I am shocked he has been as healthy as he has been this season. Maybe the decreased minutes are playing a role.

That's a stretch. This is his first year as a professional athlete.

Exactly.

, you have to eat to grow. I will venture a guess and say he probably doesn’t eat as much as he needs to.

I was always a very small kid throughout my first two years of high school. Once I started taking working out and hockey more seriously, is when I began to eat a bit more and actually gained weight.

To the OPs comment on some people don’t have the frame to be able to add weight, that is just so false and inaccurate.

That statement is so funny because of how false it is.

That’s not how the body and digestive system works.

While I am no nutritionist, nor a Professional strength and conditioning coach, you have to eat to grow. I don’t believe he eats as many calories as he is supposed to because there’s no such thing as the bolded.

I was 5’10 145lbs my freshman year. I grew to 170lbs by my senior year of high school .
A. I ate more calories then I was burning
B. I took the off ice workouts serious and pushed myself

Now I am 6 foot and consistently in the 189-195lb range.

Some of y'all are telling on yourselves. He had world class help from multiple angles since he was drafted. The moment he committed to Denver he got a nutrition and workout plan. The minute he was drafted by Detroit he got more professional oversight. It's not like he got to Grand Rapids and they were like, hey eat healthy and workout, what have you been doing the past two and a half years..

And of course he had workout and nutritional support before that. Little Caesars has that. USNTDP has that. Teams in the USHL obviously have it. He went through all of these since he hit puberty.

Kasper just scored, really nice pass from Burger

Huge shift by Hanas, Lombardi and Soderblom, Ed and AlJo too. No goal, but they all look great.

The bolded part of the post you quoted is 100% true and will vary immensely from person to person.

Your sample size of 1 (yourself) proves nothing otherwise.

Yzermans gotta start subtracting guys cause I suspect kasper will do everything to force himself on the team

And I'd love to find a way to keep berggren at least short term, kid can pass and he'll have plenty of chemistry with mazur and kasper ... believe Also played with veleno

They don't update their size every year. We really don't know how much he weighs right now.
