Cossa was excellent tonight. Bergy seemed hellbent on missing the net all night. He waited and waited and shot into a body all night. It drove me nuts. And I really find edvinsson looks bored out there more and more. Like he's just not being challenged anymore. He's the definition of over ripening.

Edvinsson has definitely dropped off points wise since that incredible tear he was on. That’s purely stat watching. But I wonder if that’s reflected in his play too.

His play is still solid. But he just seems bored. He makes nice plays to guys who can't finish, can't hit the net or make stupid passes. He probably feels like he's already done everything he's needed to to make the team and yet he's still there in the ahl which is very much slower and more sloppy.

Well done Sebastian. Simon may have to wait until Steve finds a taker for one of our vet dmen. As a rookie I would hope he isn’t getting complacent

Here's the lines for tonight's game:

This is McIsaac's first game in a while, would've rather seen Viro in for him. Hutchinson in net

I would necessarily equate the talent level of a give team in the AHL as being directly correlated to their on-ice success. Calder Cups and winning records, albeit are nice to build up confidence and get them used to "playoff" hockey, may not be the the actual goal of the team or in the best interest of the individual player development.

Look over the last 20 years worth of Calder teams' and playoff MVPs. Very rarely is the winning team representative of the more elite prospect pools, and outside of like... the Griffins runs (Tater, Bertuzzi), rare is the best player in the playoffs anyone you've ever heard of.

I am indifferent to their record, as long as the prospects are improving and developing the way that the organization envisioned. And that's not just thinking about their stats. Truthfully, I would expect their output to be hit because they are asked to do something differently than what's comfortable to get better (kind of a step back to make two steps forward thing).

Watched some of the game on Saturday and I’m full convinced Kasper is a bust. He is just a non factor out there and simply doesn’t generate much of any offense.

Ed looked kinda meh too.

When are we gonna have some prospects that knock it of the park?

There’s been something off in GR for several years now. Every player has a shit time there. Even Seider has a better rookie year in the NHL than he did in the AHL. I think we have to re evaluate the development in GR.

Edvinsson won SHL Junior player of the year and then has been a .5 PPG player or better the last 2 years in the AHL.

He is on a very good trajectory.

More veterans, less kids. No need to bring SHL players.

They changed the complete coaching staff after last season, so we have to wait to see what the new guys can do.

Seider played in the NHL 2 years after he played in the AHL.

2 years can do wonders for players who are still developing,.
