Good thing the league is gonna get us in. CHI wins 4-1

<vent>Greene sucks - put McNabb in for him. Richards - some flashes but still no impact. Stoll is gone. We won't be signing Williams. Regehr should be gone. Brown - what the hell are we paying you for?

Look at this statline: Dustin Brown, RW 75 10 16 26 -14

For the money, that is absolutely terrible. Can you name one player in the league at his salary that is that bad? I don't care if he hits like a truck.</vent>

Easy. Clarkson.

I can name a few more. One of them plays for the LA Kings currently.

Dustin Brown seems to be getting worse after every passing season. His numbers have been on a steep decline, which is the only consistent part of his game.

I purposely namedropped McDavid, given the pre-draft hype he receives.

As for the result of this game, draining Drew's strength throughout the game and scratching off McBain showed the Kings just shot themselves on the foot on this game. Too many games this already happened.

I don't think Mcbain is the answer.

Would that surprise you ? Did you think the Kings would win 8 in a row at all this year ?

They are inconsistent at winning and losing.

Honestly, I would be more than surprised. I think this team is packing it in and taking the rest of the year off. Did you not hear what Sutter said? This team has YET to show the same desperation that they have the last 3 years. I don't know if that's to motivate the players or it's the honest truth. The legs seem dead, there's no heart and no one is competing. I cannot point out one single King that has been consistent this year. Not even Drew Doughty, who at one point people were mentioning in Norris talks. The guy has been horrendous recently! Some of the worst hockey of his career. The Kings cannot afford to take another game off, like I said in the GDT. It might be too late though.

Winnipeg's schedule is brutal and the Kings is pretty easy, even with the 2 point deficit the Kings are still probably 60% to get in, factoring in they could also potentially pass Calgary as well.

If the Kings take care of EDMx2 and COL they probably would still get in even going 1-2 against VAN, SJ and CGY.

It's been pretty clear from your posts that you are upset but that statement is ridiculous and you know it.

Are we sure Kane wasn't playing? The Hawks stomped all over them.

It's pretty easy when the team that hadn't played since Saturday is rested and waiting.. to get back to LA. That's what it looked like to me. They checked out before the game started.

Exactly, step off the ledge people. 3-2 on the road trip is actually better than I thought the Kings would do. It was a successful road trip.

Yup, we're in a tough spot, but it's hardly the cliff you would imagine reading this thread. Probably better to go into the EDM and COL games scared knowing this team

**** these refs.

well, there is that. Every call went the hawks way - there were several non-calls that they got a break on.

Not that it would have mattered. Have the Kings ever taken advantage of a team that played the night before and totally spanked them? It looked like the Kings played 3 OT last night and then took a 10 hour drive to Chicago, where they played a total $he7 game.

What a disgusting effort. :shakehead

I think the Kings miss Voynov more than I thought they would - Doughty just can't keep playing 30 minutes a game and expect to be effective on D and be an offensive force.

This is for Herby...

I agree with Fox, but only because they don't call it enough. I don't understand the point in the stuff that happens after the whistle in the NHL, it's pointless and slows down the game while achieving nothing. I would like to see that penalty called every single time and BS like that and pointless face washes after the whistle would come to a stop quickly.

But since it isn't called every time you can't call it at that point.

That being said, the Kings did not lose this game because of the refs, this was one of the worst performances of the season and to blame the refs is laughable.
