If any Devils fans are being asshats to you, try to be patient with them. Just a tough way to end a winning streak, even if it does make sense.

Wouldn’t mind that intensity for a 7 game series….

I really respect the fact that Devils kept on pushing, working hard eventhough 3 goals were called off. You guys have a group thats mentally tough. They shrugged it off and got back to working hard.

Trust me when I say that such attitude is only going to help and pay dividends for the Devils for a long time including the playoffs.

If the script were flipped, Leafs would have folded like a cheap tent. No not taking a shot, I've seen how mentally fragile Leafs are. Mental toughness is one part of the game that is not talked about a lot and Devils showed tonight that they are mentally tough come what may. And that is nothing but positive.

Yeah, I don't think it's fair to characterize his play as indifferent or nonchalant. Its just not going in for him but he's still doing a lot of good things.

He isnt getting many good looks, especially 5on5. Im sure hes trying, but hes not very effective or impactful right now

Hockey is the most expensive, elitist and time consuming sport for kids. Yet NHL salaries are the lowest of the big 4.

People in Canada don’t realize that the NHL is a distant niche league, easily fourth in the big 4 in media coverage and popularity in the USA. We think hockey is big because in Canada it’s the top sport.
We believe that people in Tampa or New Jersey care about the lightning or devils the same way people in Toronto care about the leafs…nope. In the NYC/NJ area the devils are Toronto fc status. Followed by a small passionate group of diehards, outside of that bubble, the rest don’t care. Yankees/Knicks/Giants/Jets/Mets/Nets fans outnumber hockey fans massively.

And NHL players get the least paying/ lucrative contracts by far, and they don’t make no sponsorship money or do commercials like Lebron or Brady do. Toronto Raptors Chris Boucher who is not a star makes the same yearly salary as Auston Matthews, nhl superstar , rocket and hart trophy winner. That’s how niche the nhl is.

Great game and don't worry about it.

Read through a few of our threads and you'll find that nobody hates the Leafs as much as a lot of Leafs fans! We've got a real chipper bunch over here!

Gotta admit, when the crying Jersey fans started littering the ice… I was thinking, yes, now they’re getting embarrassed by their own fans.

Dude you probably don’t need me to tell you this but man the Devil’s are the real deal. They’re freaking relentless. I get tired just WATCHING them skate so hard. Proud of my Leafers for bearing down with such a depleted d-core.

Leafs are now 10-5 in regulation

For comparison:

Devils are 13-4
Bruins are 14-3
Hurricanes are 7-6
Lightning are 8-7
Panthers are 9-8
Isles are 10-8


Big surprise? Detroit is 9-5
