I remember reading somewhere that they scored differently. Like a “1” meant one over for the hole or something like that.
I remember it differently as well
He shot 57 ....... dissenters

Yep got to be free of tensionI too, gave away a round of golf last night. Even though I made a few birdies I more than made up for it. It was the worst round of golf this year by far. Lesson: don't play golf after an intense stressful work day. I think I was trying to kill the ball (which makes sense after dealing with bullshit all day).
I was out a week ago at Carman...
46 front nine... 39 back nine...
Front nine... I was Mr. Hyde... back nine I was young John Agar... this is a difficult sport...
If your body doesn't want to work... it ain't happening... back nine I reeled off 4 pars in a row, then a birdie... bogey bogey, par...
Some days this body just says f*** Me...
2nd round in 18 years, but I think I should be happy... there was a lot of daylight...
Went to Southwood this afternoon to practice... My body was front nine John from My last round... spastic...
Off to Alberta for a week of work... taking the clubs...
Because I'm a masochist...
89 in that wind and at Southwood , that's pretty good. Southwood is a little wide open for windy days.Jeez the wimd again this evening was relentless. Felt like I was hitting the ball well but impossible to score in that at Southwood. Not to mention the still shitty greens.

Greens are a f***ing joke at this point. Been what, 3 weeks since aeration and there is still punch holes visible? Dry as a old bone as well. Get the water and roller out boys, it’s not complicated!Jeez the wimd again this evening was relentless. Felt like I was hitting the ball well but impossible to score in that at Southwood. Interesting discussion. I think you can argue playing golf in trees areas is arguably more tricky than wide open courses. For as strong as the wind can get at Southwood, I always know where it’s coming from and can play it accordingly. Trees courses are notorious for swirling winds, the trees can create wind tunnels as well as having it be seemingly calm in the fairway but anything but above the trees. Nothing worse than hitting a perfectly struck shot, only for it to be blown off course by the wind you didn’t realize was there. Now, you can certainly become accustomed to wind patterns at trees courses as well, but it is tricky and takes a lot of playing there.89 in that wind and at Southwood , that's pretty good. Oh absolutely, happens alot, hit a good shot at the stick and all of a sudden it's wide of the green because you didn't think there was as much wind as there was. The thing with a wide open course on a very windy day is you don't get a break from the wind, i find it pretty tiring, that wind blasting you all game especially walking. I don't do power carts , yet.Interesting discussion. I think you can argue playing golf in trees areas is arguably more tricky than wide open courses. We did the same thing and they are taking forever to get back to as good as they were before aeration. 3 weeks ago you putted putts now you have to hammer them and i hate slow greens, that's not golf. With the restrictions i'm barely playing now so hopefully by June 12th this shit is over and the greens will be fantastic . One thing about the restrictions , why didn't they at least allow 2 people? I'm sorry but there is a tonne of space on a golf course for a group of 4 , a group of 2 is a joke to stay separate.Greens are a f***ing joke at this point. Agreed, at least we have a option, although trying to get tee times now is very, very hard. There are only so many tee times when only 1 person can use it and when you've paid thousands of dollars to play that sucks .Could have been worse, Ontario shut them down completely.
I was wondering what those range balls were doing on the 4th fairway.Gorgeous day at the range. Fresh grass to hit off of. Only a mild breeze so that is rare. conditions optimal
Iron play was really accurate “comparatively” today. Thought I would bring out the driver and I was just terrible for the first 10-15 balls. Either OB right or OB left zero in bounds . All my old habits were haunting me. Then I just gamed it. I hit chip shots at a target with the driver and worked my way up to half swings hitting it about 150 yards but safe. I finally hit a few beauties by shortening my backswing.
I will get back on the horse again tomorrow and try not to swing for the fences (tough).
Kid hitting beside me was maybe late teens or early 20’s about 6’2” 130 tops. Unbelievably aerodynamic (speaking politely). Very fun to watch him hit targets, very high ball with allot of consistency. It’s like he was throwing darts. Very full swing with all the clubs. His dad dropped in to help but he was more of a triathlete type or cyclist.
Amazing day to be alive, outdoors, and electronics free.

Mystery solved
Just think, you’ll have honours on the tee the whole round.Going to check out KP (lol) this evening. Haven't golfed as a single before so I'm not sure what to expect.

As much as people make of Tiger’s lifestyle choices bringing him down, it was more his injuries. His body broke down in a pretty big way despite his fitness.Nothing in his head to mess with his swing or concentration. I remember being like that when I was young and didn't even like golf all that much. I sorely wish I'd played in my later teens and early twenties when I was actually really athletic. Could have formed the muscle memory that would have served me a lifetime.
I would argue that Tiger was very much like that. Then adulthood came crashing in on Tiger and his win totals dropped. Supreme talent Tiger is without question, but much respect for a guy like Phil competing with him at the time - full family, wife battling cancer. Tiger was much like the kid on the range - only considerations were the next party and who he was going to "talk to" later in the evening.
So what a beauty day today, shot 80 , best round of the year but nobody saw it except the deer . Let's see @kanadalainen beat that .
Good on you for getting out on this lovely day!! I am stuck at work fighting with a massive deadline. The fun never ends.
Beat an 80? Hell to the no! I might be able to beat the deer you mentioned in a game of golf. Maybe. No promises. I could drink 80 beers if you funded me. In a week or so. But thats it.
80 is absolutely into the God Mode I reckon. I bow before thee and offer up a virtual heaping plate of pickerel cheeks in a cheerful vindaloo sauce.
I accept the challenge though and when you are ready my friend, and when we are all deemed safe to socialize I will show you just how bad I really am.
In order to prepare I will visit my clubs in the basement, inform them of the gravity of the challenge before them, offer to thrash them to within inches of their life for any perceived slight or signs of noncompliance, and continue about my boring existence.
