Lipped out for a hole in one from 220 yesterday :madfire:.

Missed the 4 footer, missed a 5 footer on the hole before for birdie lol. Still managed to shoot 77 with 3 birdies and 3 doubles. Could have been so much better, just lost so many strokes unnecessarily trying to be a hero. Take your medicine folks, get it back in play. I played an entire par 5 from the trees until I got on the green on one hole lol, made 7.

I'm trying to do that this year, don't be a stupid head and just get it in play. Also not always going for the green in 2 on par 5's , just get it to the 100 yard marker and hit a wedge. It's when you hit that wedge fat or thin that drives me crazy.

Good on you for getting out on this lovely day!! I am stuck at work fighting with a massive deadline. The fun never ends.

Beat an 80? :box: Hell to the no! I might be able to beat the deer you mentioned in a game of golf. Maybe. No promises. :dd: I could drink 80 beers if you funded me. In a week or so. But thats it.

80 is absolutely into the God Mode I reckon. I bow before thee and offer up a virtual heaping plate of pickerel cheeks in a cheerful vindaloo sauce.

I accept the challenge though and when you are ready my friend, and when we are all deemed safe to socialize I will show you just how bad I really am.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

In order to prepare I will visit my clubs in the basement, inform them of the gravity of the challenge before them, offer to thrash them to within inches of their life for any perceived slight or signs of noncompliance, and continue about my boring existence.

Your epic lack of golf capability aside...

That gif... that episode of Fawlty Towers...

Off the charts historic comedy...

Nice... nice visual analogy...

Hit the range in Strathmore tonight after a couple intense days executing business...

This masochist wasn't perfect, but fleshed out a couple of things...

Should lead to some good things on the golf course in round through June...

And business was great, top notch...

:thumbu:

Nicest day yet on the range. Weather and temp were ideal. The only downside is that I had to cut it short. Today would have been nice to spend at least 90 minutes on the range. Very happy with my accuracy today with all clubs including my driver if that’s possible. Easier when the old body is warm and when you are hitting off grass.

Wow hot out there today boys I hope you stay hydrated if you are on the course.

Mon-Friday this week I hit the range 7 times (two with my son for the first time). My 12 year old boy has a great attitude and despite the fact he is pretty un-natural at Golf his smile is worth it all. As he was duffing away I was asking him, "how do you like it Max" and he said "I love it dad thanks for brining me". He hit a few good shots and that's all he needed. Kid couldn't get the smile off his face. Really glad I decided to give golf another try and introduce it to my kid.

My girl is 12 and son is soon to be 8. I hope to have this as well.

My daughter is 12. Introduced her to golf last year. She’a already 5’10” and has a pretty good swing. She loves going!

Got out today at 10:30 but took a cart which is rare but with the heat a prudent move.
Shot a 93 with 1 lost ball.
Posted in pet thread between holes waiting, not as bad as it sounds as the round was only 2:45 which is ok by me.
Will head out tomorrow am weather permitting.

That was such a blistering hot day. Glad you weathered it well.

Would have melted out there today. Glad I got in a round with my son late Thursday afternoon. Man, he’s just launching the ball off the tee but he’s still putting together his consistency.

Pretty much no wind that night so was finally able to fire at some flags and not have to play a 25 yard leave.

How old is your son?

Pretty pumped my golf trip to Portugal-Ireland was delayed for one more year. That is awesome and really takes the self inflicted pressure off me for this season. With all the health regulations my reclamation project was delayed a bit. It will allow me to take this summer to just focus on hitting balls without trying to be game ready by late August.

I look forward to the additional time to continue the rebuild and by next season I would like to layer in two rounds a week with the practice time.
