Mickelson one stroke lead over Koepka after third round. Final round will be be interesting to say the least

Of course he went on to win it, as I'm sure you know, and became the oldest player at 50 years old to win a major, and he'll be 51 next month. Way to go Phil, so it shows you the older guys can get the job done. Looks like he lost about 30 lbs, and is in a lot better shape now. Maybe he has another 1 or 2 left in him ?? We'll see ?? Apparently the odds were 300 to 1 if you had bet on him.

I remember Tom Watson at 61 years old, was tied for the lead, after 72 holes at the British Open, but lost in a playoff -- that was very impressive to me.

Good to know golf can be enjoyed by a large age range.

Was out for the first time quite a few days at the Southwood range late afternoon...

Just enough time to work through the irons, some 3 wood and driver shots...

You had to really focus and slow down... the wind was strong when I got there... got stronger as I went...

At one point I absolutely striped a 5 iron... went straight... then looked like it was coming back at Me... went a little over 150 yards dead straight...

Also tried a few tries with the new driver I made Myself... I really prefer the Titanium shaft over graphite... I can really be more aggressive with My turn...

Also the Titanium lets Me feel enough of the head... could really drive down and through with My shoulder turn and hands...

I chose to wait to practice on a calmer day with the driver... if its super windy you must be uber focused... not enough patience today...

Good to be back out on the links... hope to get in a couple rounds this week...

Went to the driving range yesterday before our game and tried the driver out. Distance was good, and I THINK (though I obviously can't say for certain from a range session) that my new shaft (X-stiff, shortened by an inch) should help some with my consistency issues off the tee.

I haven't hit a ball in a week, between new restrictions and shitty weather just haven't found time. Hoping to get out some this week but am moving on Saturday so who knows.
Ya haven't played since Friday, feels like forever especially when i was playing decent. If i was playing like crap i probably wouldn't mind the break. Hopefully we get back to some kind of normal tomorrow.

Looks like only solo golf until at least Saturday. With the way things are at my course for tee times and the range closed, I probably won't play.

Don't remember ever having this long between rounds during summer.

This sucks.

And by the sounds of it the restrictions have been extended to Saturday at least now. :( That sucks big time.

At least Wednesday's weather looks like crap but not playing for at least a week when our golf season is so short really, really sucks.

Just headed out to the range to practice into the gale force winds. That was...................um.......................humbling. Jordie Benn appeared to be hitting some balls a few stalls from me.

What's with these funky motorized "Hands free" pull carts? So you just walk and it follows you? I assume there is some form of GPS tracking....... do you have a wearable it orients too? Tight pants Andy Gibb shorts and now self driving pull carts. I want the one that can hit the ball for me.

You are a brave man for facing that wind...

A little over the top.

As for those Automated Caddy's... home in on the remote you have on your person, programable stand off distances. I'm still young enough that I feel My Caddy Tek push cart is more than easy to push/roll around, but if I start to need help in time, would not hesitate to get one, so I can keep moving and playing golf while walking.

Have trouble chipping...?

I know I have...

Now things are a lot better after watching Mike Malaska teach Jack Nicklaus Jr. how to chip properly (I chipped exactly like Jr.)...

Played a round with my son in the hurricane yesterday. Minimum 2 club into the wind, cross wind was probably a 15 yard margin. With the wind was fantastic though, it was only helping on about 3 holes though. You’re a brave man to be out there today. I think I’ll head out tomorrow or Thursday.

Southwood is filthy with the GPS carts, they’re everywhere. I can see myself getting one in a few years though, they seem pretty handy and Southwood is a hillier course than it appears. When the wind is blowing, walking and pushing a cart is a real glute workout for a 52 year old guy like me :). I saw a guy on the course the other day with one you could ride like a motorized scooter. It was genius!
