I'm guessing he had a lazy offseason and it's biting him in the ass. He mentioned during his W&M episode that he took a different approach to the offseason this year and it was a bit more laid back.

That 2-on-1 bad defense was on Chabot. He points to Roy for Batherson to take, but slides to try to take the pass anyway. That's Nicholas Roy, not Alex Ovechkin. You take away Stephenson and let Forsberg focus on the shot from Roy.

Chabot is not a top pairing defenseman. He’s been regressing for several seasons now. Him and Colin White must have signed their contracts with the same pen or something.

I'm sorry but the whole PP1 is not good. I know they have scored goals but just look at the way the puck was moving when Brannstrom Sanderson Giroux and Pinto were out there.

They even got the puck deep, battle, got settle again, move it, almost lost it but battle and continue.

PP1 is way too static and predictable. It always up and when it goes down, it's always for a touch play. It just not good enough. The puck need to move. They can skate and create confusion if needed. They have the man advantage..

Bottom line is that this isn’t entertaining and I’m about to turn it off because they’re playing like garbage.

This team is better than these results. Coach doesn’t have them ready and no structure.

Batherson and Chabot taking the same man didn't help either. You can see Chabot pointing at him then slide at him right away while Batherson was very near him. He could have stayed in the middle to protect the pass.

I know it happen fast, but it's details like this that make the difference
