Someone's definitely not watchingI get it was a redirection but 4 goals on 15 shots is awful. Give Talbot a chance here.
AND I'M DUMB

A loss tonight would mean a 4 game losing streak.
Jack Adams stuff right there.Easy offside. Good eye by the coaching staff.
tHe 5v5 nUmBeRsIt doesn’t matter. There’s a list of excuses people will come up with to defend DJ.
That the goal was called back? I made my comment before the challenge. Point still stands though, Forsberg has not been good tonight.Someone's definitely not watching
Yeah you would hope they would've looked a little bit better without those two, but those are two pretty key players for the team. A lot of teams will have it hard if they lose their best defensive center and their best defensive defenseman.Just goes to show how fragile this team is that they crumble due to a few injuries.
No I'm an idiot and thought you said he was already in netThat the goal was called back? I made my comment before the challenge. Point still stands though, Forsberg has not been good tonight.
Yawn.
Good chance we lose this which means a 5 game losing streak and a 4-6 record through 10. So while we may look better offensively at times, there really isn't any improvement in team play. I know your schtick is to be the contrarian but this is currently a mediocre team trending towards being plain awful, and the fact that this is despite acquiring Giroux and Debrincat and having Sanderson on D is really disappointing.
You can still win a game or two. The two teams on the Florida trip were missing their Norris calbre d-men, Washington’s injury situation is worse than ours and they’re still putting up a fight. Don’t get me started on Boston.Yeah you would hope they would've looked a little bit better without those two, but those are two pretty key players for the team. Our metrics lose games. Get out the Should Have Won Meter again. Not contrarian. I just prefer to take a step back and stay objective, trying to not get too wrapped up emotionally when we're on a losing or winning streak.
Fact is, our metrics are pretty solid, considering the quality of competition we played in the first 10 games. Our next 10 are against much weaker competition. If we're still under .500 at game 20, I'll start to worry.
Zaitsev is definitely playing too much, but we'd be down 3-1 regardless of how much ice time he has. The team does not look confident at all defensively.
Ottawa isn't even close to Tampa or Florida. Washington has 1 more win and have played 2 more games. Relax. You can still win a game or two. Shouldn't matter, they're NHL players. Stop concerning yourself with other players' ice time. How confident would you be if your worst defenseman averaged the 2nd most ice time per game?
