Every time I remember this team repeatedly calls Bryan Rust and Rickard Rakell core pieces, my eye twitches like that one teacher from Daria.

f***, it's gonna be so aggravating when a report inevitably comes out this summer about Dubas throwing himself prostrate and groveling before Rust's feet, saying even though his NTC has dropped, they'd never think about trading him.

They make me blame the fanbase to be honest. For as much shit as we give the Leafs I don’t think their fans would put up with those kinds of quotes, which is why we ended up with Kyle Calculations in the first place.

To be fair, EK is pretty terrible on the PP for a player of his caliber. Which is why him being moved to PP1 recently makes me wonder if Sullivan might not be tanking on purpose for a change rather than tanking without intending to.

L1 is scoring a lot (especially compared to the other lines, lol) but it's rarely actually outscoring its opponents which is why Sullivan never even trying to change things in regards to the top line a bit is annoying. Or would be if we weren't tanking, as it is, it's basically "Titanic is going to sink anyway, why bother with those deck chairs?"

Sully is nowhere near that smart, but I can understand why many of his decisions lead inevitably to people concluding that he MUST be in on the tank job.

It's much more likely (and hilarious) that he actually believes he is doing things which will help the Pens succeed -- at winning, not tanking -- but it just blows up in his face.
