What was the SOG in this game? When Canada controled the puck Finland just waited for them in the neutral zone. A trap game plan that served them well in previous games this tornament but this time Canada tuned up their game a few notches and Finland had almost no chance. Canada really controlled this game from first face off and I as waited for Finland to gamble some in the third period they stuck to the trap game plan and it never happend. Well deserved win for Canada. Still a good tourny for Finland thou.

Nice apperance from Putin, we know he is a hockey fan!

You will never hear him speak publicly in a foreign language on Russian soil. And he can speak more languages than most leaders of large nations, he is fluent in many languages, I would not mock him for speaking Russian in front of the Russian crowd

Wow... That was just so painful to watch. It's just baffling how terrible all our players looked today.

Only in the 3rd, only in the 3rd - keeping the score low and keeping Canadians out of the zone worked pretty well for the first 40mins, but then we rather sucked in the 3rd and Canada was supreme in it's controlled aggressiveness in protecting the very slim lead.

Canadian D team beat Finnish B/C team today.

Forwards did nothing with amazing forechecking or anything. It was a complete team effort in my opinion. McDavid played amazing all night not just his goal stealing pucks breaking up passes skating hard. That same can be said about the rest of the team as well but Mcdavid scored so that's why he was chosen. Unless they gave player of the game to the whole team I don't see the issue

To me, this is a nice tournament to win even if it really doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. I won't say meaningless because I watched it. But I can say I had nothing invested in the outcome other than a passing interest. Nice for the kids who are playing, though.
